David tapped his fingers against the desk, chewing the inside of his cheek. He was exhausted from the events of that day, as well as sore. Max had gotten hold of the car, and accidentally hit David while trying to escape again. Then again, maybe it wasn't an accident. He let out a low sigh, glancing at the window facing the tents.

You don't have to deal with them.

David jumped, eyes widening at the sound of a voice. He looked around the empty cabin. No one was there, not even Gwen. "A-am I being pranked? Max!" He called out, standing up.

They don't care about what you do for them.

There it was again. David realized the voice sounded familiar, however it wasn't his own. Then, he realized.

"Daniel? If you're there, show yourself!" David commanded, shaking a bit. There was no response. Why would there be? Still, he couldn't shake the feeling there was something there.

You could shut them up.

David shook his head. "I don't wanna shut them up!" He cried, dropping to the floor and holding his head in his hands. David felt weak for cracking so easily, but the day had been so stressful and frustrating, not even he could handle it.

The door to the cabin suddenly opened, and David glanced over to the entrance. He saw Max staring at him, giving him a strange look. "What the fuck are you doing on the floor?" He asked.

"What are you doing in here Max?" David said, avoiding Max's question.

"I heard you yelling. Shit, why do you look so freaked?"

"I- uh- had a nightmare?"

"Did you sleep on the floor?"

"Yes?"

Max sighed. "You're a bad liar."

"Get out, Max."

"And why should I? You're-"

"I said get out!" David yelled, standing up quickly. Max's eyes widened for a moment, but only for a moment. He scowled and turned to walk out, flipping David off. "Wait- Max!" He started to say, but Max slammed the cabin door and walked back to his tent. David punched the wall, squeaking out an "ow" afterwards.

They're going to give you hell tomorrow.

There was that voice again, one that sounded all too much like Daniel. "Get out of my head!" David says, hitting his temple with the heel of his palm.

He walked into the cabin's small bathroom, looking at himself in the mirror. He looked awful. Scratched and bruised. Aside from the wounds, the bags under his eyes were dark and heavy. David was surprised he was still awake. He turned the sink on and splashed water on his face, then turned it back off. David looked back at the mirror, and, thinking he saw something behind him in the reflection, he turned around. He saw a shadow quickly move away, but when he walked towards it, there was nothing. "Am I going crazy...?" David whispered, then quickly shook his head.

David tried to shake the image of the shadow away from his head in order to sleep. He felt sick. Maybe he could convince Gwen to take over activities for tomorrow? But then, he'd feel guilty. It was like there was no winning. David hit his head again, and then tried his best to fall asleep.
