- 3rd Person POV -

The enemy teams charged at our heroes. Villains?

They charged at the Cumrag Brothers (Sure, that works) weapons raised and ready for a full-on attack. Ace was indignant. He backed up, butterfly knife in hand, already figuring out a method of counter-attack in his head.

Ace: "Tad, I'm gonna need you to take a couple of hits for me, I know you can handle them."

He said, to his partner in crime, not bothering to look over at him. When he got no response, however, he grew concerned.

Ace: "...Tad...?"

He repeated, turning in the Scissorman's direction with the beginnings of a snarl, only to have his eyes widen. There, in place of his shorter companion was a note on the floor, written in crappy handwriting and black marker pen reading 'Gone to Get Groceries'.

Ace: "..."

He sighed.

Ace: "Fuckin' figures!"

He turned just as quick, as Weiss's blade made contact with his butterfly knife and found itself deflected. He rolled out of the way of Ren's bullets, and hopped over Jaune's measly sword swing.

Ace: "Too low, blondie!"

Jaune stared in awe at Ace's landing, followed up by a scurrying, and running. Ace was charging away towards the Bulkhead landing area, only a few meters off...

Not that he got far. A familiar gunshot rang out, and a blur of red and black zoomed right ahead of him. There now stood Ruby, shifting her scythe and giving it a spin over her head.

Ruby: "End of the line! Please, you can't take all of us, just drop you knife and surrender!"

Ace said nothing, instead growling lowly in the back of his throat, mind up in a tizzy. Calculations weighed in his head, varying one option over another. There was no way he could take them all, she wasn't wrong there. He was thinking in fight or flight, and thus far, he was teetering towards fight.

But, as he raised his knife, about to use his semblance to get closer to the girl and give her a cheeky stab, the knife was pulled out of his grasp.

He turned, wide-eyed, seeing the knife fly through the air and into the hand of Pyrrha, who stopped running a few meters off and tucked the knife away into one of her side pockets.

Weiss: "It's no use!"

The heiress yelled, running over as well and flanking Ace.

Weiss: "We have you surrounded!"

Ace's eyes darkened. Eyes darting around, thoughts in a jiffy, he thought hard...

Yang: "...he doesn't look like the kind of guy who thinks rationally... Don't let your guards down!"

Yang instructed, striking Ace with a stab of irritation. Him, irrational?

How wrong she was. Ace's eyes skimmed a nearby Bullhead. He got an idea... Not that he let his face show it.

Ace: "Alrighty, boys and girls... You wanna play a little game, eh?"

He agitated, pulling out his deck of cards as they all surrounded him, weapons aimed at him. They gave his deck of cards weary looks, having seen what it can do on some of the guards.

Ace: "Then lets play... Hit me!"

Looks of irritation spread through some of their faces, and eye rolls spread through others. Clearly, the two teams thought there was no way they could possibly see failure, given the situation. Exactly as Ace'd hoped.
