Adrien paced around his room restlessly. His day had been going just fine until he arrived home. His father had pulled him aside and threatened that if Adrien continued with his "reckless behavior" he would have no choice but to pull him out of public schooling.

"I don't get why you care about this so much." Groaned Plagg, "Any ordinary teenage boy would be jumping for joy at the thought of not having to go to school."

Adrien sighed, and turned to look out his window. "But that's the thing Plagg, I'm not an ordinary teenage boy. My whole life I've been shut away from the world, and public school finally gives me a chance to have a taste of freedom." He collapsed onto the sofa, thinking for a moment before pouncing right back up. "Finish your cheese Plagg, we're going out."

Plagg's eyes widened and he quickly swallowed the precious Camembert.

"Plagg, claws out!" Adrien yelled, his Kwami groaning as he was dragged into the miraculous ring. And with no further glance back, Chat Noir vaulted away from the Agreste Mansion.

Chat Noir ran atop the buildings of Paris, seemingly without a care in the world. He had been running for a while, but kept circling back to one area. He finally stopped to perch on the roof of a building near his school, and right across from an oddly familiar and deliciously smelling building. When he noticed who was sitting on the terrace, Chat Noir couldn't help the grin from spreading across his face.

Marinette sat on her terrace, doodling a new design, unaware of the gaze she was under. Chat's tail began waving around excitedly and he jumped from his spot, over onto the terrace. Marinette let out a surprised shriek, nearly falling out of her chair.

"Chat Noir! What are you doing here? Is there another akuma that you need help with?" She asked worriedly.

"Not today, Princess!" Chat replied happily, "I was doing patrol when I noticed you sitting up here all alone, and I thought to myself 'I'm sure someone as pawesome as yourself wouldn't mind if a lonely alley cat joined her!' So I decided to come down to say hello.

Marinette gave a quiet sigh of relief, before her face exploded into a false excitement. "Chat Noir is on my terrace! I cant believe that THE Chat Noir, one of the bravest people EVER is standing right next to me in his free time!" She then proceeded to fake a swoon and made to continue, before Chat Noir chuckled.

"I'm sure it is truly hard to comprrrrehend that someone as cool as me is hare to chat, but that really is all I'm here for. I've been pretty lonely in my civilian life, and I wanted someone who would talk to me and not judge me. When I passed your terrace, I remembered the time you helped me fight the Evillustrator, and how level headed you stayed in the face of danger so I decided to come say hi."

Marinette smiled to herself, before coming to her senses. "Why come to me, and not Ladybug? She knows you much better than me."

Chat sighed. "My lady is great, but things with her are strictly business, sadly. I don't know if she would be welcome to talking casually."

Marinette hid a grimace. "Okay Chat Noir, what do you want to talk about?"

    Chat smiled. "You design, right?"
