Sorry in advance for Syd's behavior in the next two chapters, I know it's a tad bit inappropriate. But I promise he gets sweeter and has good intentions.
(I'm looking back on this chapter nearly 5 months later, and OMG! I can't believe I wrote this, I'm so sorry!!)

"Oh, by the way, are we still on for after school at my house?" Lisa asked me.

"Oh, uh, yeah, I guess."

"Alright, I'll see you then. It was nice meeting you, Syd." she said as she walked away.

Syd stared at me for a long time, and then finally spoke.

"Is that THE Lisa?" he asked me.

"Yep. And we have to get that watch back from her as soon as possible."

After I said this he just....looked at me, and this time he looked a bit troubled.

"Are you okay?" I asked him.

"I-i just can't believe that you're....15 right now. You look so different." he said as he started to look down at my...chest area.

I felt so insecure when he looked at me like that that. This wasn't like Syd to look at me like that.
And he looked so...amused in doing so. I guess it just made me uncomfortable since he's 21, and I'm...technically 15.

"Syd!" I snapped, as he wouldn't stop looking at me.

"Sorry not sorry." he said with a slight grin.

Okay, this was getting a tad bit weird.
This wasn't like Syd.

"Syd! I'm 15! And you're not even supposed to exist right now, but while you are here, you're 21!"

He looked at me with an amused expression.

"So?" he said, now staring what felt like straight into my soul.

"It's illegal for you and I to be a thing. So while we're here, nothing romantic."

"Love, that's going to be so bloody hard. Can't we just...secretly be a thing? It's not like anyone will notice. I've got a baby face. And how could I possibly ignore the most beautiful girl in sight?" he said as he gave me the most mischievous grin.

I know it wasn't as weird for 15 year olds and 21 year olds to get together back in the 1950s and 60s, but I knew we could get in trouble, or mainly he could get in trouble, and I knew we probably weren't going to get back to 1967 right away.
This was going to get weird.

Syd got closer to me, and whispered in my ear.

"If you couldn't tell, you're the most beautiful girl in sight." he whispered.

"Syd, I'm sorry, but this is wrong." I whispered back to him.

I knew I was going to have to let him go at some point, so maybe now was the time.

I walked away without looking back.
Syd wasn't acting like his usual self, and I didn't like this new Syd.
I mean, I liked the new Syd, but in a different way.
I wouldn't be able to control myself around this Syd.

So I went to find Lisa, and planned to get the watch back.
And then...I'll come back and find Syd, and we'll go back to 1967.
Hopefully.

I walked for a good hour, at least. I got lost multiple times, and I was hoping Syd would magically appear and save the day.
But he didn't.
I knew this had to be the acid doing this to him.

I had heard stories about how he got when he was on drugs, but I didn't imagine him being all that different.

I couldn't remember where Lisa's house was, until I finally stumbled upon a two story Victorian style home.
This was definitely Lisa's house.

Something that still weirds me out is the fact that nobody seemed to find it odd that I left, or that there was some random british guy with me.
I guess some people are just stupid and oblivious.
Or maybe they just don't care, which I can understand to an extent at times.

I walked up to the front door of the house, and knocked.

At first, no one answered, but finally I could hear footsteps coming towards the door.

"I literally just got home. Uh...what happened to your hot friend?" Lisa asked as she opened the door.

Hot friend? She was definitely making it clear that she liked him.
After all, she was being a bit too friendly with the whole "It was nice meeting you, Syd."

The way she said it and the way she looked at Syd...it made my skin crawl.

Alright, I need to calm down. Syd isn't even my boyfriend.
And if he was, I'm pretty sure I just broke up with him.
And I highly doubt he's interested in her.

"Oh sorry, is he your boyfriend or something?" she asked as she obviously saw I was troubled.

"What? No." I said, to clear any suspicions.

"Predictable. He looked a little too old for you anyway. Do you mind if I ask him out?" she asked.

Alright, I can't believe I didn't cut her out of my life sooner.
She's nothing but a selfish, rude, bratty, sociopath.
And she'll destroy anyone who steps in her way.

"But if he's too old for me, than isn't he too old for you? Seems a bit hypocritical, don't you think?" I finally snapped back.

"It's not hypocritical if you never liked him and were never dating him. And don't you remember? I'm 4 months older than you."

"Ha. 4 months older? He's 21!" I accidentally slipped.

Suddenly it was so silent that I figured I beat her. I finally won for once.
And since I was feeling extra confident, I saw the watch sitting on coffee table behind her so I ran into her house and attempted to grab in and run.
But she tackled me to the ground and held me there.

"Not so fast, Hannah." she said in an evil sort of tone.

She squeezed my wrist and dragged me, and I mean literally dragged me, down into her basement.

Once she dragged me down into the darkness, she began to whisper to me.

"Hannah, you're such a pretty, pretty girl on the inside. But you're ugly on the outside. And I'll made sure your little british boy knows it. I know what that watch does, and I know who that boy is, I'm not stupid. I practically own you." she whispered in my ear.

Remember when I said she was a sociopath?
Scratch that.
She's an actual psychopath at this point.

She then grabbed my hands and pushed down on my pressure points, and I started to cry it hurt so bad.
She then ran back upstairs and slammed the basement door.

I couldn't see anything, and I had no clue where the light switch was.
I got up to walk around, but I couldn't seem to find the door either.

I felt helpless and hopeless at the same time.
And so incredibly lonely.
