Asher's POV

The last eight years have been regretful, to say the least. Every so often I start to like someone, I become friends with them and then they get taken away from me. I can't help but dream of the day when this curse will be lifted, I almost wish I never met her in the first place. I walked to the coffee shop to get my regular, Carmel Frappuccino with an extra pump of espresso. The Barista, Adrian, saw me in line and was already preparing my order. I smiled gently at him as I got out my Marvel-themed wallet and pulled out my credit card. I walked up to grab my coffee from Adrian, but something seemed different today. The cafe's light over the register made his hazel eyes shine like the stars.  His slimmed tanned face was splattered with freckles from each edge of his cheeks to his nose. Adrian told me with his gentle and quiet voice, "H-hello? Asher y-your coffee..." He had brought me back to reality, I must have zoned out while looking at him. "Oh...S-sorry...I wasn't paying attetion.." I said in almost a whisper, my shaking hands could barely grab the coffee. Adrian held my hands gently "I'm going on my break...Do you want to go on a walk..?" he whispered. Was it that obvious that I was nervous? Nevermind that, I simply nodded at him I couldn't speak much anymore, I was too nervous. I slowly walked out of the cafe with my head down and my gaze at the floor, I felt embarrassed. He didn't come after me, he must have had more orders to finish. I might as well go home before I make a mess. I had run home, I had the chance to talk to Adrian and I had messed it up. Maybe I could send him a text, or an email, or anything that will make Adrian notice me. Something that would make me more than just a customer. I've decided, I'm going to send him an email. Okay, Asher, you can do this. He took a deep breath before beginning to type. "Hey, Adrian its Asher, the one that always orders that Carmel Frappuccino with an extra pump of espresso. I was wondering if we could-" He deleted those few words, and thought to himself Asher no, you can write something better than that. Okay, let's try this again "Could we possibly meet at the park? So we could become better friends-" He deleted a couple more words, He thought Asher, you guys aren't even friends, to begin with. "If we could become acquaintances-" He considered just scrapping the whole Email, there were so many mistakes and errors. However, this was better, for Asher at least, then talking to Adrian in person. He tried again, for the last time. "Hey, Adrian its Asher, the one that always orders that Carmel Frappuccino with an extra pump of espresso. I was wondering if we could, meet at the park and maybe hang out? Let me know if you'd wanna meet up. Sincerely yours, Asher" Okay...Now I've gotten the hard part out of the way, so I thought. I didn't want to send it, but I also did. It was weird. Anyway now I was going to sit here and wait for a response.
