"Hey Mitchell, what'cha got there?" Frankie asked, flinging himself down on his bed.
"Oh, it's the elective choice form. I was just trying to decide what elective to take." I casually picked up the soccer ball that was now lying next to Frankie's bed.
I tossed the ball from hand to hand a couple of times before continuing, "I was thinking either Art or Soccer."
Frankie sat up and smiled, "You should do soccer. Actually we need a new player anyways; our main starter just broke his ankle. If you tried out and did well enough I bet the coach would put you in for our next game; maybe not as a starter but you would definitely get to play."
I took the paper back from him and wrote soccer down on the line and signed my signature.
"There, all set," I grinned. "Now tomorrow I can start training with the best."
We high-fived and I slipped the paper into my backpack. When I stood back up I just about fainted.
Frankie had taken his shirt off while my back was turned, and oh my God. I felt the blush start to rise in my cheeks and I quickly averted my eyes. It would be bad to let Frankie see me ogling his body.
Once I heard Frankie bustling about I dared a quick look up.
He was gathering clothes from his drawer and said over his shoulder, "I'm about to jump in the shower real fast to cool off. So if you need to go, go now."
"I'm f-fine." I stammered; still trying to get control of my hormones. Finally I heard the door shut and I collapsed on the couch with a sigh.
"What am I going to do about this? I can't go around staring at my roommates every time they take their shirts off or they'll start getting weirded out." I groaned to myself.
~Banananananananananananana-Batman!~
I jumped as the Batman theme song continued to play from my cell phone. I grabbed for it right before the tune repeated itself and clicked 'Answer.'
"Hello?" I already knew from the ringtone that it was Amanda.
"Tell me EVERYTHING! Are the boys cute? Were you able to pass as a guy? What are the classes like? Have you talked to the headmaster? Does anyone seem suspicious?" Mandy's voice demanded without even returning the greeting.
"Hi, it's nice to hear from you too. Now to answer your questions; yes the boys are cute, the classes are just as challenging as St. McKay's, I've met and talked with the headmaster, and no, no one seems suspicious." I counted off each answer as I said it.
"Did I answer everything?" I heard the scoff on the other end of the line.
"Hardly, there are a million of questions that I could be asking you, but I'm not exactly sure what the situation is like right now. Are you in your room alone?"
"No. Well, kind of. Frankie is here, but he is taking a shower and I have no idea where Gary and Andrew are. The last classes were released about fifteen minutes ago, so I assume they are doing whatever guys do around here after school."
"What are they like, your roommates? I mean obviously they're cute, but what are their personalities like?"
"I can't really say a whole lot about any of them. I've only got to spend maybe an hour with each of them. Frankie and Andrew are both the athletic types, but also super friendly. Frankie plays soccer, which is the elective I've decided to take. Andrew plays football, I think, but I really have no idea. Gary is funny, we joked around during our free period today. He was also the one who found me texting you earlier and assumed that you were my girlfriend. They all seem nice enough."
