Red ears and pointed nose, gracing though the woods. Under fern and over root, sleek fur shining in the glades light. No one could catch her. Especially not the hunters, far and wide they came, bow and arrows, dogs and horses, torches and sunlight. Nothing could ever stop the fox.

Not even a nip in her perfect coat. Hunters weren't her only game though. Jealousy and anger, like rabid dogs chased her. All she did was laugh and taunt. She was too fast, too strong and too dazzling. One whip of her tail would leave the most stoke men in a daze.

But don't get me wrong. She wasn't a fox a all, but a girl. Part fox maybe, if you count a tail and ears and the ability to change into a fox. No one knew who she was. She was from the sea. She was from a far off land. She was a which. But the only thing they knew for sure was she was called Kit.

The hunters though, they were exactly what you think. You see? it was all a game. You must kill her fox form. Then you must woo her human form. The winner of all this would be king. Kit never wanted a king though. So why play this game you ask? well their was something for her in it. If they lost, she could have anything of theirs in return. Anything.

She didn't want anyone's head or something silly like that. She wanted a ring. Not any ring, she wanted the ring that had the power to control her. With the ring, the holder had the power to keep her in human form. If she was trapped in human form, she was subject to the charm of a prince.

And on the subject of princes, she wanted one to. Not one with jewels and gold. She wanted prince lupin. One issue, he didn't want her.

The cunning fox she was though, she would never let him go. A plan was set into action the moment she saw him. All she needed was a silver ring. Again, not just any ring, but his trapping ring. Now I won't tell you what he was or what he wanted, but I will tell you this, he was no good.

Years passed and he hadn't even showed hair in the Court of queen Kit. But then the fateful day came. Queen kit, sitting high and mighty on her thone of gild and a crown made of antlers, she waited. Then the great doors opened and a prince entered. She sat straighter in her chair, looking down upon the decorated prince.

He bowed deeply, before rising and giving her a half smirk. He had a plan too, prince lupin was not a fool you see. He knew she had a special ring he needed, but what she didn't know was he had a special ring she needed. She recognized him at once, how could she forget a face so beautiful? his voice like melted butter and his touch as soft as silk. She wanted him.

"My dear Queen Kit, I would request if one thing before I start this game of yours. I would ask that if i were to win this cunning game yours, I may choose of three things of your court." He flattered her.

Being a child to prince lupins whims, she obliged on the spot. and so the game began.

A horse was tacked and the dogs let loose even a pack of huntsmen equipped for the great hunt. But prince lupin denied then all, instead he favored his feet.

An hour later, he was free to wander the glad in search of Queen Kit. Within the minute he had found her hiding spot.

"Very well, prince lupin. But are fast enough?" she taunted, before she was off in a flash, darting though her well worn glade. But prince lupin would have none of it. He was not to be put off so easily, and chased after her swiftly. Like a cat and dog they dodged the trees and rocks, laughing all the while. Kit was having so much fun she didn't notice he wasn't chasing. Instead he had an ambush set and when she came by, he leapt from the bushes and tackled her.

With one fell swoop of his large paw, for it was a paw not a hand, he fell her. Her fox eyes bled into human eyes and her sleek tail popped out of existence and once again she was a human.
