Alexandra's pov
I walked in the house I shared with 2 of my friends, Rylie and Emily.
Emily was home but Rylie was at yet another party. I didn't think she'd come home drunk but sometimes she did. I didn't hate her for it though.
Emily was 4 months pregnant with her 2nd baby. She'd lost the first one, a boy she'd named Kayden Michael, to an illness that we never knew he had gotten. This one was a girl though. She stayed home most days due to her pregnancy.
"Hey, Em. How you feeling?"
"Terrible. She's growing and I can't handle it right now."
"I'll be here throughout the whole thing. Have you thought of a name yet?"
"I was think making Nicole or Alexia for a first name. And Alexandra or Rylie for a middle name."
"I like Nicole."
"Then Alexandra would be her middle name."
"Nobody's complaining about that."
"Of course you're not. She'd be named after you."
"There's nothing wrong with that."
Emily laughed, something that was rare for her lately. This pregnancy really was becoming harder and harder for her.
"Em, are you hungry? I was thinking we could go get something to eat since neither of us leave the house much anymore."
"I'd really like that."
"Then let's go."
"But where would we go?"
"How about your favorite?"
"Ok."
I helped my best friend out to my car since her ex had taken hers when he left 2 months ago after finding out she was pregnant. Then I got into the driver's seat and waited for her to get comfortable.
"Sorry it always takes me so long to get comfortable."
"Em, it's fine. Don't apologize."
"You sure?"
"Yes."
"You're the best."
"Rylie tries. You know that."
"I know. And she's awesome. But I need more help woth this ome than I did the last one and she's hardly here anymore."
"Rylie didn't drop out like I did when I started helping you. She's still in college. She didn't get her degrees as fast as I did. She's still there trying. It's not her fault that college parties happen every other day. We both Rylie's a party girl. We couldn't keep her from a party if we tried."
" It's not her fault you're also a super genius, Alex."
"I'm not a genius. I'm just good at most school subjects."
"All of them actually."
"Not true."
"Very true. Even Emma isn't as smart as you. Not to mention how beautiful you are."
"Now you're just being delusional."
"I'm serious."
"Let's just get food, alright?"
"Fine."
We get to Emily's favorite resturaunt and head inside to get food.
