In this story, Seokjin has synesthesia. It's a neurological condition in which stimulation of one sense triggers an automatic and involuntary experience in another sense.
It is NOT a mental disorder, simply a difference in perceptual experience. It is believed that about 4% of the population has some form of synesthesia.
Now, there are about as many forms of synesthesia as one can think of but here are just the ones Seokjin will be having in this story:
— Aura synesthesia: seeing colored halos around people.
—Auditory-olfactory synesthesia: when certain sounds have smells.
— Lexical-gustatory synesthesia: when certain words have tastes.
— Gustatory-auditory synesthesia: when certain foods have sounds.
— Auditory-tactile synesthesia: when music feels like touch.
— Orgasm synesthesia: when you see colors when you orgasm.
