Hi everyone, I am Elena White, 18 this year. And I am currently a Design major in college.
As a 3rd year college student, I have to go internship for 6 months to fulfill one of the requirements in order to move to our final year. The school takes a group of students who are then sent off into smaller groups to be interns at the selected companies in different countries.
I hope to be able to go to countries like France or Switzerland, where they have a lot of beautiful sceneries and fresh air!!
Unfortunately, I am posted to South Korea for internship. Not that I disliked the country, I was disappointed that I could not go to the country I wanted. I even went to the extend of sending in numerous requests to change my destination and even knocked on the principal's door for two weeks! Instead, I was given a warning letter. Dang it!

"Tough luck eh?" my best friend, April laughed at me. "Please, I beg you. Behave yourself over there. You might be kicked out of the internship program if you behave like this!"
"What are you talking about?" I whispered, embarrassed as I hurried down the corridor towards the cafeteria.
"Don't play dumb with me, sister." she followed, rolling her eyes at me. "I've heard about it." I narrowed my eyes at her, as I tried to avoid all other smirks coming from my schoolmates. Getting a warning letter was a big shock to me. "So, anyway, which company you are posted to?"
"Boutique Francesca in France!" she replied. I was happy for April, she is now one step towards her goal as a fashion design intern. "Aww, come on. Let's go celebrate!"

I was startled when my bedroom door flew open. Realising it was only April, I threw my T-shirt at her and continued my game.
"Are you excited?" she asked, picking up my T-shirt that was lying around.
"For what?" I sighed. My body ached from packing my suitcases for the internship starting next week. All I wanted to do was sleep. April glared at me, "You are going to be a graphic design intern at S.M. Entertainment! Home to my EXO boys. Lucky you." Well, I may not be a Kpop fan, but I do know how problematic SM was. With all the scandals that SM has with Hangeng, Kris and now Jessica, I am not confident with SM being my employer.
"Look, El. You may not like it, but you know that you need this in order to move on to your final year. It's not that bad, really. The company is actually paying you a good salary and the dorms are included as well! I have to look for a dorm myself, you know!"
I nooded quietly. "Come on, let's get you all packed up and we are good to go." she dragged me off my bed and started helping me to pack.

"Bye, April! Have a safe flight. See you in 6 months' time, remember to get me gifts!" I winked at her as we sent her off at the airport. "Bye El, I will miss you TOO." she glared at me before bidding goodbye to her parents. Just before April turned towards the Departure Hall, I ran over and hugged her tightly, not wanting to let her go. "Gosh, I can't believe we are going to be separated for six whole months. Who is going to wake me up for school now?"
"Stop being such a baby, Elena" Mum said as she tried to pry me away from April. "Yeah, you do know that we can skype, don't you? And remember to behave yourself!" she scolded gently and made her way towards the customs. "Oh for heaven's sake, don't be such bitch, April. Who else would cry for you when you leave?" I yelled at her. April's parents laughed as Mum dragged me away and scolded me for being such an embarrassment. "Please don't tell behave like this in Korea, gosh."
Dad chuckled as he stood up from his corner, "Come on, let's get you checked in. Your mum has to go back to her work soon, and her colleagues are all now laughing at you." By the way, my mum works as a Terminal Duty Manager at the airport where she assists passengers who needed assistance.
"And don't pout like a child please. You look ugly."
