Ömer had been driving home for more than 10 minutes, yet he had not said a single word since him and Defne had gotten in the car. Worst, he barely dared to look at her. He didn't look mad, just.... Preoccupied. Defne started being anxious. Tamam tamam, he had never been a big talker. Still, his attitude looked really strange on that moment. Not that Defne didn't enjoy a moment of calm but.... Fine, who was she trying to fool ? She couldn't stand the silence treatment, never did and never would, it was nerve racking, alright ?! And Ömer should have known by now, that the less he talked, the more she would. The 10 minutes of peace she had already given him were the maximum she could endure.
"Ömer... Are you alright?" she asked shyly. He turned his head, about to answer, but something stopped him in his tracks. Defne had put her red Santa hat on her legs, on her beautiful legs already too divine to look at and barely covered by her black skirt. Quite frankly? He couldn't resist staring at it. Not to mention the fact that her delicate fingers were constantly playing with its white plush cause that... wasn't helping. At all.
"I'm fine..." he grumbled, before forcing himself to focus on the road again. It was a matter of minutes before they'd finally be home. It was fine, he'd be fine. 'Fine fine fine'. But no matter how many times he repeated that in his mind, Defne could still see him biting his lips and tapping madly on the steering wheel.
"Do you want to listen to some music maybe? Should I put on the radio?" she suggested.
"Sure," he replied, clearing his throat, still trying and failing to act normal.
Defne randomly pressed all the buttons that were there, lost with this technology. The screen showed the GPS, the parking aids, even started calling Neriman - 'oh god, not Neriman' Defne panicked and hung up immediately -, but still wouldn't turn on the radio.
"Why doesn't it work?!" she was fuming. He actually had to refrain himself from laughing. He could never get tired of her little cute crisis. "What's the use of having such luxurious cars if you can't even turn on the radio, seriously .."
"It's right there, see .." Ömer cut her short, pressing his finger on the single button she had not tried yet. She looked a bit ashamed... It was adorable. She always was.
"Well... I couldn't guess you know, it's not like 'radio' is written in big letters ..." she defended herself.
She expected him to answer with a joke, but the radio stopped him in his thoughts as the music 'I put a spell on you' began to air. Ömer rushed like a crazy man to turn the radio off. "Are you sure you're okay?" she was looking more and more confused. "Yes yes I just .. It was a bad idea okay, let's keep quiet" he decided, taking a deep breathe to compose himself. She tried to make him relax by squeezing his knee. It was a terrible idea. A bad bad bad idea.
"Defne... Quick question. Do you want me to stop the car in the middle of the streets and start kissing you right there, or do you want me to get you back home before doing that?"
"Oh..." Defne finally understood what had been on his mind the whole time. "Hum... Home. I guess" she admitted.
"That's what I thought," he seemed amused. He knew his girl, he knew she liked privacy, especially for what he was about to do to her. Cause there was one sure thing: he had no intention to stop at one kiss. Not today. Just the thought of it ... He could already feel his entire body burning.
