High schools the place were everything changes. Its were you figure out if your a somebody or a nobody. Now we all know that it sounds a little harsh. But we also all know that its the truth. Either your up there in the world of the bodys. Or your left down in the dirt with the nobodys. We can try and choose where we go, but fate always puts us were we belong. Sometimes its for the better. Believe it or not some people actually like to be left alone in there world of nobodyness. I couldnt imagine being a nobody, but with the choices i made i wish i was ,so that nobody would care.
It was my first year of high school. I was going into grade 10. Now i thought that the next three years of my life were going to play out different. I had no idea what was lying ahead for me. I didnt stop to think that this actually happened to people my age. Apparently neither did my friends. We all made mistakes in the same area but all so very different. We promised each other that we werent going to turn out like that, but within the first month of high school that promise was gone.
The first little bit was normal. Go to classes meet up at lunch and split again. Not on of us had skipped before. Well i mean not any important classes. Gym isnt really going to help you succeed in life, and we saw no point. But after a while skipping became the usual. I some how managed to keep my marks up. While they all started to fail. We never got caught. Not until Sally Diverstone ratted us out. She was tired of having to work her butt of to get a mark in the class while we just skipped and still managed to be better. We continued this for the first two months. First class. Skip. Lunch. Third class. Skip. Not one of us were in the same classes as each other. So it wasnt like a big group wasnt there everyday. After a while your teacher just forgets about you. Not even bothering to say your name on the attendance list.
At first that was the worse that we were doing. The other stuff comes in abit later. We all just seemed to not care anymore. Not care about the world or what was coming for us. Stuck in the moment. Not realizing that we were already starting to fail in life. And to be honest we didnt give a shit.
