Based off 'Starcourt' off of the Stranger Things 3 soundtrack :)

Starcourt Mall bustled with people, everybody all ages in the food court, and existing stores. It was loud, bright, and colourful to say the least. Everybody adorned in bright colours.

Jean vest clad Mike Wheeler, friends in tow, were running their way through the mall as fast as they could; on their way to Scoops Ahoy Ice cream parlor. In an effort to get advice from Steve Harrington.

Realizing it was already nearly 7:00, the group rushed to the parlor.

"Excuse me, sorry, pardon," Mike brushed through people, Lucas pushing past people to get down the escalator.

"Sorry!" Mike hollered past some passersby as he cut them off, rushing to the food court.

"Oh god, what is she doing here?" Lucas groaned as he saw his younger sister and her friends sitting, eating their ice cream.

"Nerd!" she hollered teasingly at her older brother as he rushed to catch up to Mike, who was leading the group at an extremely fast pace.

They'd finally arrived at the blue and white striped booth that housed the ice cream shop, and at the register stood Steve.

"Wheeler, what the hell? I told you to ditch the vest." Steve tugged on the fabric as Mike caught his breath from running.

"Yeah, yeah. I need advice." Mike rolled his eyes.

"On what?" Steve cracked his knuckles, shaking out is hands comically.

"On, gifts." Mike replied, his voice going quiet in an attempt for his friends not to hear.

"Gifts? For whom?" Steve raised an eyebrow.

"A girl."

"What? A girl!" Steve exclaimed. "Wheeler! You have a girlfriend!? Jesus, okay, well," he paused, giving the three teens behind Mike time to conceal their laughter. "Robin?" Steve asked, looking over to the girl scooping ice cream.

"Yeah?"

"I'm going on my break." Steve announced. "C'mon, Wheeler." Steve said as he exited the booth, still in the sailor's uniform he was required to wear.

"So, what does this girl like?" Steve asked as he led the group away from the loud food court.

That was a question Mike had trouble answering. After spending a year away from her, nothing about her had really changed. Except for well, her speaking abilities. She was learning her motor skills; still, she had yet to discover things she enjoyed.

Well, other than Eggos. She knew she loved those off the bat, but other than those, there wasn't much. Her room had just been redecorated, but she still wore Hopper's old and/or thrifted flannels all the time.

Maybe a bracelet, or a necklace. She had the one Hopper had given to her and she never took it off. She loved having it.

Mike shrugged nonetheless. Not knowing what she liked he wouldn't know what she disliked either. He feared she wouldn't like whatever he got her.

"Jesus, kid. You don't know? How do you have a girlfriend but don't know what to get her?"

"I mean, I got her a teddy bear for Valentine's Day, but I don't know. I don't think she'd like something like that."

"Well, what about, a necklace? Claire's has some good stuff. And I know what you're thinking. 'Claire's? Me walk into Claire's?' but don't worry, I'll come with you." Steve messed with Mike's hair a bit as the group walked to the store.
