Jonah's POV:

Work could wait this morning,my arm was sore,the cut across my stomach didn't feel the greatest,and I had a sleeping princess curled up into my side who needed my protection,snoring so softly with her arms wrapped around me,afraid I'd leave her,but one day I'll let her know how I actually feel.

Even though I wasn't going into work today,I did have other business to attend to,so I scooted out from the bed,making sure not to wake Nina.I made my way across my room,and to my dresser,pulling out a pair of black,ripped jeans then went to my closet,pulled out a maroon t-shirt,and my black converse from the bottom and got dressed.When I was done,I checked on Nina,the blankets fell off her body which showed her legs and the shirt had risen up,so her stomach was visble as well.

I pulled the shirt down,and the blankets back around her,giving her forehead a sweet kiss before going downstairs.I pulled my phone out and took a seat on the couch,dialing Logan's number,see the thing Nina didn't know was that Logan and Maria work for me,they're two of my most trusted guards,and id probably be dead without them.Logan finally picked up after three rings.

Call convo:

Me:Logan get Daniel,and get down here now.I will not wait longer than ten minutes,so hurry the hell up.

Logan:Yes sir,do you want me to bring Maria as well?

Me:Yes,she's got the sass I need to deal with him,now hurry!

I tossed my phone into the couch,running my hand through my hair,stressed.How could one of my best friends betray me like that,and hurt one of the most precious girls ever?When I'm done with him,he'll be in a full fucking body cast and on life support.He doesn't even deserve to live after this all,but I'm not a complete monster.

Around 10:00 Logan and Maria got here with the van I provided them,I met them outside,and opened the back doors to the van,seeing Daniel knocked out with a bag over his head,and his hands tied behind his back.Logan carried him inside,and into my cellar,don't ask why I have a cellar,I won't say.Maria untied his wrists then tied them back to the chair along with his ankles.I removed the bag,put another chair infront of him then hit him across the face.

Me:Wakey,wakey Seavey.

Still no answer,so I hit harder this time,his head turning in the process of it.

Me:Wake the fuck up Daniel!

This time his eyes opened,scanning the room before his eyes landed on me,and filled with pure fear.He knew what was about to happen,and he'd try and say anything to get out of it.

Me:Don't even try to make an excuse.Why the fuck did you do that to Nina,and why are you working for Jake?

Daniel:Jonah listen,you don't get it.I never loved the bitch in the first place,me and my girlfriend are still together,and she knows about everything that has happened between Nina and I,especially when I fucked the hell out of her,you should've heard the way she screamed my name.

Me:Say one more dumbass thing,and I will fucking slit your throat right here,right now.Now I want a fucking answer,why did you hurt Nina?

Daniel:She's a worthless slut who's good with her body,I used her to get to you,and then reported back to Jake.

He hasn't even been here that long,and he's already pissing me the fuck off.I leaned one arm on the rest of the chair,pulled my fist back,and landed it into his jaw,watching as he spit blood out afterwards.He knows I won't fuck with him if he gets on my bad side which he already has.
