"HOW AM I EVER GOING TO RUN THIS PACK TOBY I - I CAN'T EVEN MAKE MY OWN CUP OF COFFEE! I HAVE NOT EVEN SHIFTED YET!"

I've been pacing for over 20 minutes talking to my best friend Toby who has always been able to calm me down.

"Hey Camy calm down I think you'll be a great alpha you do export this very powerful aura and I think you can do this and Nick should be out soon so you can ask his opinion also." Nick is Toby's mate. Toby is a few months older than me and I was so sure he'd be my mate but then I found out he was gay and when he met his mate and then I knew for sure.

Just then Nick comes out with lemonade and plants a kiss on Toby's lips. Well more like many kisses.

"Hem hem" I say

"Oops sorry I forgot you were standing there." Says Nick

They both blush and Nick sits down.

"Ok so you were saying." Says Toby.

"Ugh nevermind. I'm going to my room."

"No no we promise to cooperate."

"No it's ok I'm done ranting for today."

"Ok"

The last I see of them is when Toby flashes this mischievous smile and drags Nick up the stairs.

"Ew" i mutter I'll never be able to unsee what i know they're going to do. Ugh bad mind bad, don't think about that.

I walk upstairs and close my door and collapse on my bed in sobs. "DADDY WHY DID YOU HAVE TO LEAVE ME I CAN NOT DO THIS!"

I sob for what feels like forever until i hear a small knock at my door.

"Camy can I come in"

I immediatly recognize the voice as Carries.

"Yes"

She slowly opens the door and walks in.

"Oh sweetie i heard the news isn't that exciting the first female alpha will be you."

"Yeah exciting until you realize I don't have a mate and I haven't shifted yet and it's all happening so fast and I know I'll shift soon and find my mate but the induction ceremony is in 2 days I feel as though I haven't properly mourned yet."

"Shhh it's ok hun it'll happen it's been a few weeks since your birthday it'll be any day now."

"I know but what if I can't I mean you've heard the stories of the werewolves who can't shift and they're thrown out."

"That won't be you Camy I know if I can feel your wolves power just radiating off of you."

"UGH I CAN'T DO THIS!"

"DONT YOU DARE RAISE YOUR VOICE AT ME YOUNG LADY!"

"Sorry Carrie I I just don't know what to do anymore."

"You can do this I have complete faith in you now come on wipe those tears and get up we are going shopping it always makes me feel better and you need a dress for the ceremony in 2 days let's go alterations normally need more time but not for where we're going."

"But-"

"NO BUTS GET UP AND LET'S GO WE DONT HAVE TIME TO DILLY DALLY! BE DOWN STAIRS IN 15 MINUTES OR ELSE I'LL COME BACK HERE AND DRAG YOU OUT!"

And with that she storms away. I proceed to drag myself up and go into the bathroom and curl my hair and throw on some black eyeliner and mascara. Then I change from my  shorts into a white sundress and white wedges. I then grab my purse and leave my room.
