Darkness and death. These are the first things that I can remember. The sight of my dead parents' trough the small opening of an air vent and the face of their murderer with an expression of delight. A face I will never forget. After he was gone, I remained there for 1 to 2 varga until I was sure that he was definitely gone. Slowly I walked to my mother and crouched down next to her. Her facial expression showed pure horror and pain. I took her hand a looked into her lifeless eyes. It was cold. Every bit of life and happiness were drained from her, my family and this house I once have called home. Every ounce of hope left me after I realised that. I felt that the first tears, that started to fall from my eyes and slowly dropped to the floor where it mixed with the sickening amount of the blood of both my parents. I looked at my father, who laid next to my mother with a big hole at his chest where his heart once was. Blood was still flowing out of the wound and covered nearly the entire floor of the small hallway where we were in. My entire mind was blank at the moment my parents died, more exact where murdered right before my eyes. After I realised what happened the only thought that crossed my mind was that I wanted to be with them. I didn't want to be alone. I thought everything would play out in my life. But now I know better. Life is cruel it kills and kills and kills. Why did it have to be my parents? They did nothing wrong. Slowly I closed the eyes of my mother and went to my father to do the same. After I did that, I just sat next to both of them and just starred into the darkness our home was in, not realising that the door behind me was being opened and that a person stepped into the room. After some doboshes full of oppressive silence I turned to the stranger with lifeless, dull eyes. After the stranger, who I thought was a he, looked at me with a blank expression on his face I started talking. "Bring me to them. Kill me so I can be with them again. I don't want to be alone here." After that my voice cracked and even more tears were flowing down my cheeks. He still looked at me with a blanc expression until he started talking with a stern and serious voice. "Are you sure that that is what they wanted? They saved you by sacrificing their own lives. Thy wanted you to live the life they couldn't. And what do you do? You want to throw that opportunity, that task, your legacy away by asking the first person you meet to kill you? Is that really the right thing to do?" He was right I knew that but I couldn't just move on without them. What was I supposed to do? After some Ticks where I stayed silent, I started talking again. "Then where am I supposed to go? I don't have anybody. I am alone. They were the only family I ever had. The only ones I ever trusted. What should I do to fulfil their legacy or whatever you said?" With that even more tears were flowing out of my eyes. Just then I realised the entire range of the death of my parents. Where should I go? This place wasn't save anymore and even if I would never be able to stay here while I remember them. All my inner walls, which were still standing came crushing down and buried me under all of my depressing emotions. I began to frantically sob into my hands while the stranger came closer to me and started rubbing circles on my back while humming calming words into my ears. After a while I finally calmed down the stranger started talking again. "I knew them. They were brave warriors. Always kind and fair to everybody. They did not deserve this fate I agree with you. However, they did this to make you survive, to let you live." He said softly "If you want, I can help you avenge them. You could join the same organisation like them. You could come with me and even find a new family." "Are you sure? Can... can I really come with you?" I asked. He just nodded "of course. But only if you want. You could train there to avenge them and to help us free the galaxy from the Vreetill, who murdered them." "Then I will come with you. I will make them proud. I will make it so that their sacrifice wasn't for nothing!" I looked at him, determination burning in my eyes, while he got up and offered his hand to me. I took it and we went out of the door, out of the house I once called home, out of the house I have been in all my live towards a new and uncertain future. After we boarded the stranger's spaceship, he signalled me to sit down on the co-pilots seat and started the engines. Slowly after we took off from the planet, I drifted off to sleep, my former home planet the last thing I saw while wondering what surprises would be in my new future.
