It was a joyous midsummer night; all was quiet in the Liana mansion. Zander was sleeping peacefully in Lorenzo's bed, wrapped in his loving fiancé's arms.

However, something was keeping Lorenzo Liana awake. Tonight was just too perfect. He'd gotten engaged to Zander, came out to his father (who had left promptly after on a business trip) and won the football game for his team against the Brighton Pythons. Something had to go wrong. He was sure of it.

And, as he had predicted, something would. Hiding in a deserted ballroom, something was there. Pacing, trying to get free. This something would cause a lot of trouble. A lot of trouble indeed.

Lorenzo got out of bed and locked the door, paranoid that something would try break in. As Zander had started crying in his sleep, Lorenzo slipped back in bed and held him close; he could not bear to see the love of his life upset, even if only in his sleep.

He smiled at the pink-haired angel, snuggled in his protective embrace. The love of his life; his, and his alone. He made a vow to never let anyone take his sunshine away. Zander would always be by his side, smiling that beautiful, lopsided grin - that made Lorenzo go crazy for him - and running his fingers through his soft, tousled hair.
