TIMELINE: In an AU where she's one of the Dragonets of Destiny

Story Title: Wings of Fire, The Dragonet Prophecy – Alternate Universe: Prison Break 

Description: Large female IceWing dragonet with light moon-silver scales and cobalt blue eyes, a bit taller than Tsunami but a bit lither than Clay. Whip-thin tail, serrated claws. Forked blue tongue. Dark blue blood. White scales flecked throughout the underside of her wings, and freckled on her snout. White underbelly.

Friends: Clay (MudWing), Tsunami (SeaWing), Glory (RainWing), Starflight (NightWing), Sunny (SandWing) – fellow dragonets under the mountain who are her family; Peril (SkyWing) – friend who helped the dragonets held prisoners in the SkyWing Kingdom escape.

Enemies: Kestrel (SkyWing), Webs (SeaWing), Dune (SandWing) – minders under the mountain who were abusive and violent towards the dragonets; [Queen] Scarlet (SkyWing) – the Queen who trapped the dragonets as prisoners in the SkyWing Kingdom.

Personality (traits): Unpredictable, charismatic, impulsive, protective of her friends (especially Sunny) and fierce; kind most of the time (especially to Tsunami, Sunny and Clay). Tries to be optimistic and encouraging to the dragonets she likes (Sunny, Clay and Tsunami). Violent, calculating and manipulative at worst. Generally standoffish and disagreeable to dragons she doesn't like (including Glory and sometimes Starflight). 

Abilities: Can withstand subzero temperatures and bright light; can exhale a deadly frostbreath; ridged claws to grip the ice; better-than-average at swimming; able to hold her own in battle.

Strengths: Holds the second best fighting prowess in the group (right behind Tsunami) as she uses her size, serrated claws and violent personality as advantages in battle. Overcast is fairly manipulative once outside the mountain, and she uses her imposing personality and charisma to her advantage to scare others into doing what she wants of them.

Weaknesses: No impulse control. Very quickly resorts to violence. Wildly unpredictable, and has the wrong mindset/a slightly off-kilter moral compass (elaboration because I'm bad at explaining: basically in the excerpt, during Chapter Four when Tsunami is chained up by the minders and Overcast slashes Morrowseer's face, Overcast doesn't see that what she did was wrong. She's convinced she was protecting Tsunami's leadership skills). Basically she's a bit all over the shop and pretty much an anti-hero because the expectations to literally save the broken world plus the years of experiencing and witnessing horrific mistreatment to herself and her friends has hardened Overcast and nurtured her already naturally wild-child personality into an unstable explosive. Think of Raph from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: for an IceWing, she has very little chill!

FAMILY
QUARTZ – Quartz is Overcast's younger brother, but acts like he's older due to emotional intelligence; part of the Alternate/Fake Dragonets of Destiny as Overcast's counterpart. Quartz is gleamy white and shares his sister's cobalt-blue eyes, but his scales are scuffed and dimmed due to time spent trapped in the NightWing volcano – and, alternatively to his sister, is flecked with silver freckles. Quartz is very good-natured and good-aligned; he does NOT want to be Morrowseer's pawn, and his altruism is his best quality. Quartz's moral compass is spot-on, and he wants to fix the world the RIGHT way (so he's basically a hero-hero to his sister's anti-hero, lol). I have plans for him to break out of the NightWing volcano to get to the real Dragonets of Destiny, where he will reunite with his sister. This most likely takes place in the rainforest during Book Four.
I see Quartz as 100% gay and have plans for him to meet another dragon called Lemming while on the run from the NightWings/Morrowseer and who is basically Qibli in IceWing form (charming, lighthearted, laid-back, very much a jokester). I'm planning for Quartz to fall for Lemming and his stormy-grey eyes.
I'm debating on making Quartz an animus as well as being a stand-up guy, which he can maybe use in his escape from the NightWing volcano. Maybe not though. We'll see.
HOWLITE – Howlite is the father of Overcast and Quartz. He is a really nice and chill dude, in a tired way, who doesn't care a fig for the IceWing hierarchy – in fact outright opposing it, due to seeing the corruption of the monarchy unfairly killing his mother. Howlite loved his children genuinely, and was in ruins when Overcast's egg was stolen by Hvitur and Quartz's was taken by the NightWings. I imagine him being pale white, tinged very faintly with ice blue on his wings and claws.
MAUVE – Howlite's mother and grandmother of Quartz and Overcast, was the one who taught Howlite to think for himself and oppose the hierarchy; she loved him like how he loved his dragonets. Mauve was an animus who kept her powers secret; the IceWing Queen before Glacier took the throne, Queen Radiance, was known to be especially unjust and Mauve did not want to be used for Radiance's frivolous gain. Queen Radiance found out about Mauve's powers somehow, and sent her generals after the purple IceWing. Mauve, who was always gentle by nature and didn't want to fight anyone, ended up dead due to "treason against the Queen".
FOAM – Howlite's wife and mother of Quartz and Overcast, but to put it bluntly, she's an evil bitch. You know the character Petalcloud from my favourite book series of all time, The Guardian Herd? Yeah, she's like Petalcloud in IceWing form.
Foam knows little about Howlite's ancestry, but enough to know that he's related to the notorious disobeying animus, Maeve. Foam has dragonets with Howlite to get close to that power, in the hopes that she'll be able to manipulate her possible animus children to do her bidding.
Foam is bright silver like her daughter, except more severe on the eyes. She looks almost dark in comparison to the regular IceWing.
