Chapter 7

2 days had passed since the Mark Case, the school decided to have a short school break for various reasons. and since we had a free day, we decided to meet up.

"Hey guys, how did your interrogation go? what questions did they ask" Irene said after she took a sip of her drink.

"Mine was about how Mark was in school and what my relationship was with him. I didn't get asked much since I didn't actually saw what happened that day." Suga said, playing his phone.

"Me too, since I was with Suga all this time, nothing much happened to me." Mina said as she fidgets her fingers.

"Mine was similar but adding with the question of how he was in class."Chen said.

Everyone said theirs and became quiet, they looked at me, the last person that didn't say anything yet. They had many emotions in their thoughts, curiosity, suspicion and many more. I don't blame them, many people thought about me being the reason why Mark died,cause I was a suspect, one of the last few people to have any contact with Mark.

Before I could say anything, Mina change the topic, thinking that it was for the best.

"Guys... do you think we should actually be here? I mean... the case with Mark happened not too long ago..." Mina said unsurely. She wasn't supposed to come out today, her dad wouldn't let her after he knew what happened but with her mother's help of 'she needs some time off, her friends would help her.' she was let to come out.

They all had that problem, their parents weren't so happy about them going out but that didn't stop them. Suga lied to his parents saying he was gonna go to the library, Chen sneaked out and Irene just left the house without asking for her parent's permission. Me? I didn't have to do anything, mom is still overseas for work and that man's opinion didn't worth anything in my eyes so I was a free bird, but of course, I lied to them and tell them that I had to beg them to let me come out and how my family threw a big fuss about all that because they love me and they care about me and not how the society think about them and family would always be their first priority cause that's just how they know my family, that's how Mina thinks of my family, and that's the only thing that matters, the fake image that the family try so hard to maintain.

"Hey guys, did they ask you about Miss Sarah?" Chen who was unusually quiet suddenly spoke up.

"You had that question too?" Suga said showing her shocked and surprised face.

"What? No way, Me too!"Irene said.

"Hey, Jae. Did they ask you about Miss Sarah too?" Irene turns her head towards me and said, which I had to honestly say, she caught me off guard. I was too focused on the fact that I might possibly cause some problem to Miss Sarah. I nodded my head while having an awkward smile on my face, I don't know why but I started to having nervous cramps. Trying not to think about it anymore, I turned back and tried to join the conversation.

"I mean, it kinda makes sense if you ask me," Chen said.

"I've been thinking about this the whole night and what I got was this." He gathered everyone and looked around to make sure that there was no one from our school around us.

"The reason why Mark decided to commit suicide was because of all the insults Miss Sarah!I mean think about it, all these times, she have been putting him down in front of the whole class, there is no doubt that it would have brought down his self-esteem."He carefully whispered.

Hearing that, all interest we had before were gone. He was stating the noting but the obvious facts, we all got up, took our drinks and left the coffee shop laughing, leaving the clueless Chen there.
