Your P.O.V

"So what will you do now?" Reece asks me as he flips through the pages of a magazine.

"I want to find my real parents. I want to meet them." I tell Reece. What was I supposed to do?

"And if you do meet them, what will you say? I know you want to meet them so bad, but I think you're not ready for that yet. I'm just saying, you don't even know anything about them." Reece tells me as he puts the magazine away.

"Well damn, bitch. Who hurt you?" I ask him, a little hurt with what he said, but I know that he's right.

"No one." Reece chuckles. "Remember when you keep telling me the whole 'I feel like I don't belong here', bullshit?"

I nod.

"Well, you being adopted is your answer, Y/N. You feel like you don't belong here, because you're not supposed to be here." Reece says. "You're in the wrong family, but honestly? I like it this way. Think about it, if you stayed with your biological parents you wouldn't meet me and Blake and we wouldn't be best friends. Things happen for a reason, Y/N."

"What are you trying to say?" I ask.

"I'm saying that you shouldn't mess with things that are given to you. This was already planned." Reece explains.

"I get you, but I want to meet them." I whine. "I've been telling you this for a long time! Now that there's proof and everything, will you help me?" I ask.

Reece looks at me with a puzzled face, "What do you want me to do?"

I stand up and grab the folder that's on my desk and give it to Reece, "You and me are going on an adventure. We're going to that orphanage in London and we'll try to get some information there."

"Well they might not give info--" I cut Reece off and say, "Don't be such a negative Nancy."

"Fine." Reece sighs, "When do we start?"

"Today." I beam at him.

"Are you fucking crazy?! You're basically dragging me on a road trip that I can't afford. London is expensive." Reece shrieks.

"I've been saving up all my life for something important and this is important to me, Reece! You're my best friend and I want you to do this with me, because you're the only real person I have in my life."

"Is your family fake?" Reece jokes.

"Shut up, dork. You know what I mean." I say with a small smile.

"Alright, I'll do it. You're lucky that I'm your best friend and you're lucky that it's summer." Reece laughs.

I squeal and I give him a big hug, "You have no idea how much this means to me. Thank you."

"You're welcome." He pulls away and smiles, "I've saved up money as well. Let's just decide what we'll do when we get information. For now, let's go on this adventure."
