What time it is? I turned facing the clock as I forced my sleepy eyes to opened. Is 9:10. I thought to myself calmly trying to went back to sleep. Then all of the sudden my mind came back to me. Is 9:10 that means I have to be at my work place in 20 minutes. That impossible.I quickly clean myself, get dressed, and by 9:15 I was out the door.
Knowing that my boss going to be mad by the time I got there, I immediately take the shortcuts way to get to my work. For the first time ever, I take this direction aware that there's much more dangerous activities going on here. I tried to speed walk to avoid any person coming up to me.
I can hear the chit chatting going on around me, I tried to ignored it but it won't help at all. The sound of motorcycle, people talking, construction. The smell of cigarette, dirt, stinky trash. Making me so uncomfortable.
While walking, Sadie wasn't pay attention what was behind her. A middle aged man with a motorcycle has his eyes on her purse for while when she was walking. At this instant, he speed up his motorcycle. As he was close enough to be able to reach for her purse, he immediately yanked it out her shoulder before she noticed.
"My purse!" I screamed trying to go after my purse but that man was on his motorcycle. Of course, I can't chased him with my tall heels.
No one around her was really care what's going on. But luckily, a young man on his old motorcycle noticed. Right away, he turned on his engine. In a short amount of time, he was able to catch that man.
"Thank you so much." I said trying to catch my breath.
"No problem." He said handing back her purse.
She immediately grabbed her purse as she took a glimpse of his face. "May I ask for your name." Putting her purse back on her shoulder.
"Charlie, Charlie Rodriguez." He answered shyly, scratching his head.
"Alright then, I'll keep that in mind." She quickly glanced at her hand watch to see it was 9:23.
She hurried her way out as Charlie catch up to her to taped her on her shoulder. "If you wouldn't mind, I can take you wherever you are going." He said without hesitated.
"Sure." Sadie agreed.

I carefully got on his motorcycle as he handed me another helmet to put it on. "Hold tight." He said quietly, turning on his engine. I slowly wrapped my arms around his waist as the motorcycle started to drive.
I showed Charlie the direction I was going along the way. The situation right now was quite awkward but we manage to get through by starting conversation. "Do you lived around there?" He asked, turning the corner. "Not around there, just near that street." I spoke pointing the directions in front of him. "I lived in a apartment near there." I added. "What room?" Why did he want my room number? "I lived in a apartment too." He spoke again. Silly me, what am I was thinking about.
"Oh, room 8." I said awkwardly.
"Really! I lived in room 9." He said excitedly, stopping at the red light.
"I never really seen you."
"Oh probably I went out a lot, I never really like to stay at home."
"Oh, you can drop me off here." Sadie interrupted. She handed him back the helmet, and jump off the motorcycle.
Sadie turned back and added. "Would you be available tonight?" She asked shyly. "Yeah, I could take you home." Charlie said instantly. "That will be great, thank you! Oh, I'll see you at 8:30 P.M. Bye." As she rushed in the building.
