Midnight 8

"Hi, Love!" He said on the other line.

Kinilig naman ako sa tawag nya sakin. Hehe. I'm twenty-one but I'm acting like sixteen. Goodness!

"Tss.. Oh, kanina lang magkasama tayo, miss mo na ako agad?" Biro ko sa kanya.

"Syempre naman, oras oras kitang namimiss.. Labas tayo?"

My eyes sparkled when I heard what he said. Gosh. Ilang months na ako dito pero di pa namin naisip na mamasyal!

"Talaga, mamamasyal tayo?!"

"Oh, look who's excited!" Tapos tumawa sya.

"Shut up! So, what time?" Pinipigilan kong tumalon sa sobrang excitement. Lol.

"I'll fetch you at midnight, call?"

"CALL!"

"Good. So, see you later?"

"Yeah, see you.." I said smiling.

"I love you, Love.." I can imagine him smiling too while he was saying that.

This may sound corny because the word "love" is redundant, but it still gave butterflies on my stomach.

"I love you too.." I shook my head while still smiling and then hang up the phone.

Ugh, my jaw hurts.

"Love, saan ba tayo pupunta?" I said while I see nothing but black.

Bakit? Well, may blindfold lang naman sa mga mata ko. Diba, ang dami nyang pakulo?

He was driving a while ago and then bago kami huminto, he asked me to close my eyes. Ayun, sinuotan na lang ako ng blindfold. Kanina ko pa tinatanong kung bakit, pero sabi nya, surprise daw.

Naglalakad na kami ngayon sa di ko alam kung saan. All I know is he was guiding my way while I was holding his hand.

"Just wait and see.." He whispered.

"Eh pangatlong beses mo ng sinabi yan. Ano ba to, ha, Gabrielino?" Asar ko sa kanya.

"Tinatawag mo na naman ako sa first name ko. Well, mamaya baka makalimutan mo na yan,"

Huh?! Hindi ko gets. Whatever!

Huminto kami sa di ko pa rin alam kung saan. Pero parang.. ang lambot yata ng inaapakan ko. I don't know because I'm wearing heels, pero parang ganun. Parang hindi proportion yung lupa.

"Ready?" He wrapped his arms around my waist.

I smiled then hugged his arms too.

I can feel the fresh air, but I can't feel any cold. Because he's embracing me.

I lean on his head. Being blindfolded right now with his arms around me, I feel like.. I can still love him even if I can't see nothing.

I realized that this is the exact vision I have way back before. I'm really walking in the darkness before I met him.

But now.. he showed me the way out.

He teach me how to live my life again..

I nodded as a response.

Tinanggal na nya yung yakap sa akin, then he untied my blindfold.

"You can open your eyes now.." He said.

As I open my eyes, the first thing I saw was a wide range of dancing waves in the sea.
