25th of September arrived.
Sumin's birthday was today and the girl was getting ready in her apartment, it was the last night she could go out with her best friend Hyerin and Chan. Nothing big was planned but Sumin was sure about getting drunk and forget about two specific men who broke her heart. She wanted to get wasted for the last time and move on from the past.
"Ready?"
Sumin took a last glance at herself from the mirror before smiling and getting up to turn to her brother who just watched her quietly.
"Ready."
As the siblings arrived at the club, the birthday girl walked into the large place and smiled. It was her day and she was ready to celebrate the night away. Nothing could ruin her mood and she wouldn't let anyone drag her down.
"Hey!" The sudden voice of Hyerin made Sumin turn to her and hug the girl tightly in her arms. "Are you ready to get wasted?"
"And how ready I am!" Laughing about her own words, Sumin stopped quickly after she noticed Namjoon behind her friend. "What does he want here?" Her serious tone made Hyerin gulp and she stepped aside when her boyfriend joined the friends.
"I didn't know what the guys were doing behind your back, Sumin. I'm really sorry that they hurt you like that." Namjoon said while the girl just eyed him. "Those two made a big mistake, and I'm sure that you won't forgive them that easily."
"I'll never forgive them, trust me." Sumin let out a cold laugh and waited for Namjoon to continue.
"It's your decision, and you're doing what's the best for you." The man tried to smile and pulled out the box which he was hiding behind his back. "I still hope that you don't hate me for their mistake because I really didn't know anything about it."
Sumin frowned and her eyes wandered to the box in his hands as he handed it to her.
"Happy birthday." He smiled and Hyerin stood next to him, his one arm around her shoulder while the two watched how Sumin opened the box and pulled out a framed picture of herself, Hyerin and the seven boys.
A sudden flashback appeared in Sumins head when she remembered how the picture was taken. She was sitting in between Jimin and Taehyung, Seokjin was beside him and Jungkook and Hoseok were on the ground while Namjoon had Hyerin on his lap. Yoongi sat in front of the group after he started to timer to take more than 20 different pictures of the group.
It was a mess but remembering every moment of it and all the laughter's made Sumin chuckle quietly. It hurt her that it had to end like this, but that Namjoon just thought about getting her a present made the girl smile.
"It's beautiful, thank you." Sumin looked up and smiled at her friend who was also smiling brightly at the girl. "But I can't keep this."
Their smiles fell quickly when they heard those words leaving her mouth.
"W-why? I thought you liked it?" Hyerin asked and Sumin just shook her head.
"I like it, really. It's the best present I got in my life, but... I'm over it." The girl sighed and put the framed picture into the box again, handing it to Hyerin. "You can keep it. I'm sure it's safe when it's in your hands."
Hyerin pouted and Sumin just patted her shoulder. Her eyes wandered to Namjoon and she sighed out. "I believe you. You're not that type of a person who'd keep such things as a secret. You'd had told me right after finding it out."
"I'm still sorry that I couldn't do something against their plan." Sumin shook her head and gave him a small hug to make sure that the man knew everything was good.
