"Man, this school is even more awesome than I imagined!" Soma marveled, taking in the grandeur of the campus.

As he roamed the campus grounds, he felt a growing sense of anticipation. The air was electric with potential, and Soma's determination burned brighter than ever.

"Alright, Soma, time to see what you're made of," he whispered to himself, his eyes fixed on his destination – the place where the entrance exam would unfold.

Meanwhile, Erina Nakiri, the illustrious "God Tongue" of Totsuki, was busy discussing her schedule with her aide Hisako.

"So, what's on the agenda, Hisako?" Erina inquired.

"You've been assigned as a judge for the entrance exam," Hisako replied.

"Entrance exam?" Erina sighed, a hint of exasperation in her voice.

As Erina arrived at the exam venue, the aspiring chefs-in-the-making were both in awe and trepidation. The news that Nakiri Erina would be the proctor sent a shiver down their spines.

"Alright, let's get this show on the road," Erina announced to the examinees, her tone authoritative. "Show me a dish that meets my exacting standards."

An air of unease hung over the room, the tension palpable. All the examinees, except one, found themselves caught in the whirlpool of fear and withdrew their participation hastily. Soma stood firm, unfazed by the challenge that lay ahead.

"Just to make things interesting, I'll allow anyone wishing to back out to do so now," Erina declared.

The room emptied, leaving only one figure standing tall – Soma.

"As I suspected, a bunch of cowards," he muttered under his breath.

Erina's gaze fell on him, a mix of surprise and curiosity in her eyes. She addressed him directly, her voice tinged with a hint of caution. "Are you sure you want to continue, or would you rather withdraw while you can?"

With unwavering determination, Soma met her gaze. "All I need to do is whip up a dish, right? I'm in."

Erina's lips curved into a bemused smile. "Alright, if you're that eager, then go ahead."

With a snap of her fingers, Hisako brought in a worktable laden with a variety of ingredients, a colorful array of culinary possibilities.

"Here's your canvas, Soma Yukihira," Erina quipped, scanning his application paper. "So, you're from a diner, huh? Let's see what you've got."

Soma took in the ingredients before him, his mind racing to concoct a winning dish. As he began his culinary symphony, he sensed that he was under Erina's watchful eye.
