Apparently it had rained the whole night, I mean I didn't hear anything I was knocked out cold last night. But that does make good, no perfect timing for a good game of mud football. As we got to the football field my team and I huddled and Ethan looked at me. "Get open, it's coming to you. Oh and Sam, it might help if you turn out instead of in this time okay"
"What no don't worry about me, worry about your techniques" I scoffed at him.
"Just saying" he shrugged
If you haven't noticed my brothers and I take football and well every other sport very serious. "Yeah, Ethan. Sam knows how to play," Landon teased, bumping his shoulders into mine. "Don't tell her what to do" he laughed
Landon, out of all my brothers, was the one I was closest to, the only one I'd let get away with saying any stupid shit. Mostly because he always flashed me that cheesy smile of his and well I just couldn't stay mad at him.
"Okay okay just saying, then let's do this" Ethan clapped his hands and we lined up. The score was tied right now and there were only five minutes left. My socks and legs were colored in deep brown, indicating that the rain really hit last night. My hands slipped off of my knees as I crouched down, but I was way to concentrated in catching this ball then to care. I took off after the snap of Ethan perfect pass, I caught it and ran. Someone grabbed hold of the back of my shirt and I shook him free, nearly tripping across the muddy grass.
When I saw that I was going to make this touch down I started calling out my own plays, making me sound like a totally bad ass. "Oh Yeah! We are the best!" I said after making the touch down and giving my team the final points we needed to win.
"Stop being cocky" Noah mumbled, picking himself up off of the ground. "It's annoying" haha he's just mad because I'm awesome
"Sore loser" I said as I stuck my tongue out at him. He was like my brothers- he absolutely hated losing. He put me in a headlock and rubbed his knuckles across my scalp. A slob of wet grass, sweat, and dirt filled my nose.
"Ugh. You smell Get off me"
"That's the stench of victory"
"More like the stink of failure"
You know I'm not like most girls all of these guys know, I'm more chill laid back. And yeah I don't exactly have "girlfriends" so I hang out with boys and I know most people think I'm a hoe for it, but it's not my fault that girls have too much drama to befriend. When you look at me you might not think wow she's beautiful, or wow I want her to be my friend. I mean come on look at how I dress. I wear baggy shorts, lose shirts, I'm not exactly girlfriend material for anyone especially not a guy, but that doesn't matter to me. I have everyone I need in my life here on this field and well of course my dad.
As Noah and I were walking he let me go right above a mud puddle, making sure to throw me off balance and fall. I landed on my hands, splattering mud all over my face. "Oh my god you're dead" I jumped on him from behind, digging my knee in his lower back.
He let out a yell/laugh, when I slid off Of him went to the sidelines and found his sweatshirt, then being me I proceeded to wipe my face clean with it. I headed back toward the field, where some of the guys were huddled together, including two of my brothers- Landon and Drew. "What are we all standing around for? Let's play another game"
Landon and Drew shot me daggers, a warning look of silence. It wasn't until I got closer that I realized one of the guys, Matt, was on the phone.
"what oh no, no girlfriend emergencies right now. We're in the middle of a good football game." I said and Matt looked up at me but his eyes didn't exactly focus on me.
