"Turn around slowly," Xander says out of the corner of his mouth.

"Yeah, I got that, thank you very much," Rose replies, rolling her eyes as she turns around.

In front of them was a woman with dirty blonde hair and sparkling green eyes; well, maybe they were sparkling because she had tears in her eyes. Why? Well, Rose had no idea.

"Rosalie?" the women whispers in awe. "Is it really you?"

Rose stiffens; how did this woman know her name? She always told people to call her Rose. And she was fairly certain that she had never met this woman in her life. "Excuse me," she says politely, in case she decided to harm them. "But who are you?"

"Rose, it's me. Your aunt; Elizabeth Cunningham. Did you not read the letter I had left in your pack?" the woman questions her, looking at her with confusion in her eyes.

"You're-you're my aunt?" Rose asks incredulously. She had forgotten all about the letter in her backpack; she had been too concerned with keeping Logan and herself alive to worry about it. "I mean, yeah. You're my aunt. I read the letter. I've just... been busy with other things."

"You've grown up so much," she says, a single teardrop sliding down her face. "It seems like just yesterday I held you in my arms when your mother came home from the hospital."

"Guys?" Xander says for the first time since they saw Elizabeth. "I don't mean to break this heartwarming moment, but we need to get out of here."

"Right," Elizabeth says, shaking her head. "Logan is fine. But you need to get him before they start experimenting. Turn the corner. The third door on your left should be the room where Logan is. I'd go with you, but I can't be seen with you."

"Thanks," Xander says before walking off.

Before turning the corner, Rose looks at her aunt curiously. "Elizabeth? If you're my aunt and you're trying to help me escape, why are you working for them?"

"It was the only thing to guarantee your safety," Elizabeth whispers.

~*~*~*~

"Only thing to guarantee your safety?" Xander whispers as they walk through the corridor. It was very long, so the doors were separated far away from each other.

"Yeah, so that they didn't kill me or anything. Dr. Cooper said that my parents had handed me over, but Elizabeth says that I was taken from them and she worked here to make sure I wasn't hurt," Rose replies, confused as ever.

Xander opens his mouth to say something when he suddenly stops, a curious look on his face. He holds his finger up to his lips, telling Rose to be quiet. That's when she hears it; voices.

And they were turning the corner behind them.

"Oh shit," Rose whispers as she silently runs to the door  beside her, going inside with Xander right at her heels. She quietly closes the door and backs up against the wall, praying to God that they wouldn't come into the room they were in.

Thankfully, they didn't. Through the suffocating and tense silence, Rose could hear their footsteps pass them, not able to comprehend what they were saying. After her and Xander were both sure that they were long gone, they crept out of the room, snooping towards the room that Elizabeth told them Logan was in.

Rose quietly opens the door, stepping in and scanning the large room for Logan.

There, in the center of the room, was Logan, bound and gagged to a metal table.

He tried to shout something out to them, but it came out more as "Mmm mff mm!"

The two run over to him, sloppily untying the gag from his mouth. "Logan, what is it? Are you okay?!" Rose asks with concern.

"Rose, it's a-!" Logan was about to say until a big metal cage fell from the ceiling and right on top of them, surrounding them on all sides. They heard the sounds of screws automatically screwing themselves into the floor, as a group of scientists rushed into the room.

"Trap," Logan finished as they looked at the scientists before them.

"Oh shit," Xander whispers.
