I woke up to the feeling of a body next to mine. It took me a moment before I remembered who's it was.

Sophie.

Her hair was sprawled our everywhere and she was currently taking up three-fourths of the bed and all of my blankets. I groan at her and roll out of bed.

Walking into the kitchen, I can see Jan and John laying on the pull out bed in the living room. You could hear John's slight snoring as his face is almost right against the arm of the couch.

Leaning against the counter, drinking some green tea, mom comes walking into the kitchen wrapped in a big pink fuzzy robe. I laugh at the sight of it as she wads her way to the fridge pulling out the orange juice.

Mom turns and looks at me, "It feels weird having them back."

I turned to my left to look at her, "I know. It still hasn't fully sunk in yet for me." I paused and looked over to the living room. "I dreamt for weeks that we'd get them back, and now that we actually do, it doesn't feel real."

The warmth from the cup was spreading throughout my hands, I looked down at my white cat mug and watched as the steam rolled up onto the air and disappeared.

"Eventually things will start feeling normal again."

Mom placed her hand on my arm as she said this with a small smile before walking out of the kitchen and back into her room. She kind of stumbled for a second before she finally got behind the closed doors.

I walked in my room quietly so I wouldn't disturb the Sleeping Beauty. I look around my room until my eyes fell upon my target. The pillow in the window seat was just sitting so peacefully, almost taunting me.

It felt light and soft as I tossed it between my two hands. Suddenly, my eyes locked upon Sophie's sleeping body.

I stretched my arm back and was about to take aim when one of our phones began to ring.

Sophie groaned and began looking for her phone while I groaned for not being able to hit her anymore.

I sat the pillow back down in the seat and sat in the sweet comfort of the cushion of it. This is my favorite place to read. The natural sunlight during the day warmed up my hands and laps. The natural moon light made it feel comforting and welcoming.

"Yeah?" I heard Sophie mumble.

She suddenly perked up real quick, so did my eyebrows. "Oh hey!" She exclaimed.

You could hear the other voice on the line say something.

"I'd love to." She was smiling so widely it was for sure a sight to see.

"Okay, I'll ask her."

That got my attention.

Sophie now noticed I was looking at her and she was smiling at me while on the phone.

She finally said, "Okay, bye." With a wider grin.

"Who was that?" I said in sing-song as I wiggled my eyebrows at her.

"Seannnn."

"Oooooh. Really now?"

She smiled more at the mention of him, "Yes. He wants to go on a date."

I repeated myself.

"And he wants you and Jake to come with us."

For a moment my smile faltered before I quickly covered it up so Soph wouldn't see it.

"Okay. I'll just have to ask Jake."

I grabbed my phone and walked to the front porch to sit on the hamic as I dialed his number.
