Going to attempt to make up for the long amount of time without uploads. Also editing P4 of Star Trails because I noticed a few things were missing. Nothing important but just letting it be known. Enjoy!

"Skylar, can we speak outside for a moment?" Kai asked, momentarily regaining composure and setting down his book.

"Sure," I shrugged, going outside and he followed, closing the door. "So, what did you want to see me about?" I asked. He whirled around to face me and slapped me suddenly. "Ow! What was that for?" I asked.

"I vouched for you, what were you thinking?! Bringing them here?" he yelled.

"I'm sorry -and technically- I didn't bring them, they followed me. Besides, Rose helped me out with stuff, so yeah," I stuttered, unsure what to say.

"You-- what stuff?"

"It's nothing, I'm sorry." My gaze fell to the ground, my worn tennis shoes and his knee high boots.

"It just-- urgh, Mack is going to kill me." He ran a hand through his ruffled hair. It was almost morning and a cool breeze swept through the clearing. "We--"

He was cut off by the door of the hut swinging open. Mack stood there, red in the face. With barely a glance, he stomped off into the woods.

"Mack! Wait!" Kai called. But he didn't even turn around.

"What's his problem?" I asked.

"You are," Kai groaned before reentering the hut.

"Oh whatever," I said, shaking off his accusatory tone.

"So where are you guys from?" Jane asked conversationally.

"The village," Caleb answered, strained. The mood was tense.

"So uh... Skylar said we could stay the night here, are we sleeping on the ground?" Steph asked, unaware of the mood.

"You what?" Kai spat, turning to me. I did not want to provoke him further.

"No I didn't," I instantly defended.

"What are you talking about? You--" Jane stopped when I stomped on her foot. "Ow!"

"If more people are going to be staying, then we are going to need more resources," Caleb said at last, taking a deep breath and moving on.

"We can help with that!" Steph and Jane chimed in near unison.

-Alena-

The doors flicked open and Lucifer, Wynter, and Lea entered.

"Well?" Miss T suddenly turned to them, impatient.

"She uh... got the map," Lucifer answered unsuredly.

"WHAT?" Miss T seemed to boom, yet with barely raising her voice.

"Skylar beat us to it." For a strong person, Lucifer appeared to shrink down.

"That rat! She'll regret ruining my plans," Miss T hissed.

"You mean our plans?" Lucifer corrected.

"Luci, I've had enough of you for today. Leave." She dismissed him with a wave of her hand and he begrudgingly obeyed.

"So Skylar thinks she can undermine me just like that, after I took her in when she was nothing. She's underestimated me and that will be her undoing," Miss T was talking to herself.

Lea and Wynter exchanged looks and I even broke my composure to cast a glance at her. A second passed and she seemed to catch herself.

"Go! Find her! I want that map!"
