Rose's Pov

" What about this ?"

I looked up from my paper work seeing Evie holding up a sheer blue fabric towards the mannequin that held her dress. It was a nice blue skin tight dress with a little shoulder that went loose once off the dress. I honestly couldn't wait for her to wear it.

" Perfect. It matches the silhouette at the bottom." I said seeing she smiled and began to add it to her dress.

Evie hummed while she sewed in her dress before gasping." Oh ! I almost forgot. What did you want for your dress ?" Evie asked getting up and grabbing a blank form." I was thinking some flowers. Maybe even a sweetheart neckline-"

" Evie, I'm not going."

" What ?!" She asked almost yelling to the heavens above." Rose, what do you mean you're not going ?"

" I love Ben and Mal so much, but I don't want to go to some party again and sit in the back while everyone dances with their date. Last year was bad enough so I'm just catching an early boat to Corona." I explained, but she still looked pretty sadden by the idea.

" Oh Rose. I won't be the same without you there." She said walking over and sitting on the bed next to me." Are you sure you want to go to Corona early ? Doug and I can hang out with you so you're not so lonely."

" No." I said shaking my head." I don't want to ruin your day with Doug. I'll be okay. I miss my family and I know Maximus wants to see my mother and Pascal."

" Well, okay." She said getting off the bed when something fell off of the Mal's nightstand.

" Oh E. You dropped something." I said reached over and taking it off the ground to see it was a note from Mal. I opened it up and read it before gasping and standing more straight.

" Everything okay ?" Evie asked.

" Mal went back to the Isle." I said seeing Evie's head shot up and her face quickly turned pale.

 She quickly walked over to me and read the note while I looked around. That's when I noticed Mal's leather jacket was missing and the ring Ben had given her was on the nightstand.

" We have to tell Ben."

" Come on." Evie said already half way out the door. I quickly followed her making our way to Ben's office and knocked on the door." Ben ?"

" Evie! Rose!" Ben joyfully said already with a smile on his face and standing up. I almost didn't even want to tell him that Mal was gone." Come on in."
