So here we are on our feet jamming to the remix version of The Weekend. Rose's dancing with some random girl and here I am watching in amusement. She's always been this carefree butterfly.
She playfully pitches an imaginary rope to my direction and yanks it towards her. I shake my head no which made her yank harder making me laugh. I can't believe I'm doing this..
I pretend that I got caught and I briskly jolt to her direction.
"There's my unnie!" She laughs in excitement and we start dancing together.
"Where's Lisa?!" She bellowed to my ear.
"I don't know, probably with her date!"
"That little minx! She better not bail on us!"
"Must be a pretty hot date!"
"Yeah yeah.." She says uninterestedly. "...I'm hot... why can't she just date me..."
Oh my, the complicated tale that is Rose Park and Lisa Manoban.
"Hey.." I look at her. "Are you serious..."
Rose and Lisa's friendship has always been complicated. Clearly they had feelings for each other back then until they decided that it's best to just remain friends.
"Nope... This is probably the liquor talking.." She slurred. Yup, she's definitely under the influence to bring that up.
It's been so long since Rose commented something like this and I've seen both of them come and go on relationships since then. I used to like them together. Until it came to a point that it's too hard to even watch. They're always on a clash and neither's willing to put their foot down and compromise.
"Did something happen between you--"
"Gross no! We didn't hook up or something!"
"Then what's with the sudden jealousy?"
"I'm not jealous! I was just pulling your leg!" She suddenly laughs.
Oh no, I know that look. She can't convince me with that fake ass laugh.
"Really?" I gaped at her.
"Yes, really."
"Okay.. if you say so."
I'll get her tomorrow. When she's sober.
"I'm serious! Now shush and dance with me. Sza's looking our way."
And that made me giddy all of a sudden. "What?! Seriously?!"
"Nope." She sneered.
"I so hate you."

"Guuuys!!" A shrill voice suddenly called. That's Lisa's voice.
Me and Rose looked at her direction as she squeezed herself off the crowd and towards us.
"Where were you!" I hollered from the loud music.
Okay, her one hand's clutching another hand. This must be her hot date.
"Are you okay..." Lisa looked back to her date but I can't clearly see.
"Guys.." She uttered again.
Finally unfettered from the crowd. A girl to her right.
Fuck.
