"So you and your girlfriend fought. Big deal. Girls suck."
"Now that's not very nice, is it Chimmy?" Jin frowned.
"But she made Kookie cry!" Jimin argued.
"She's not my girlfriend!"
"She's not even his girlfriend and she made him cry! No one makes our baby cry," Taehyung added currently squeezing the life out of the said baby, who was squirming desperately in the older boy's arms.
"Tae," Jungkook wheezed, "help...choking...air..."
Jin rescued the younger, hastily chucking his game console at Taehyung. "Here, finish Yoongi for me."
Taehyung's eyes sparkled. "It's on!"
"Go Tae! Go Tae-tae!" Jimin cheered.
"Yoon-gi! Yoon-gi!" Hoseok chanted, waving two cushions like pom-poms and bouncing on the couch.
"Oh bollocks," Yoongi grumbled, sucking in a breath. He squinted in the lightwash of the television screen. The room was otherwise dark, with the boys occupying the couch and bowls of snacks lying around on the floor next to Yoongi and Taehyung playing Mario Kart.
"Well now, that's a little more like it," Jin said with satisfaction as he settled in between Jungkook and Namjoon. "Here Kook, want hyung to get your coke for ya?" he asked, noticing Jungkook scrabbling with the can's opener.
"I'm a man, I can do it myself," Jungkook said. A chorus of ooo's did the rounds as Jin stared, slack-jawed.
"Eh, our Kookie is growing up too fast," Namjoon sighed. "Soon he'll be lifting you with one hand, Jin."
"Pfft this little squirt here? In your dreams," Jin scoffed.
Jungkook smiled and flexed his bicep. "One day you will eat your words hyung."
"Oh it's on little man, it's definitely on!"
"Arm wrestling!" Jimin said, looking in between the two boys hopefully.
"No because they'll both end up crying," Namjoon decided.
"Awwh man—"
"Just pipe down Chim okay? Support Tae—"
"Okay!"
"Pass the popcorn bowl, don't be pigs."
They munched quietly, licking the salty buttery flavor from their fingers.
"So what's the dealio with Lisa? What happened?" Namjoon asked. "I thought you two never fight."
Jungkook shrugged. "Friends fight sometimes. And it wasn't a fight, she just wanted to go home suddenly."
"Ooohh what did you say then Kookie?"
"Oh blast it!" Yoongi exclaimed as Taehyung overtook him, "no no you're cheating!"
"Am not!"
"He isn't!" Jimin sang.
"He totally is!" Hosoek scoffed. "Nobody beats Yoongi!"
"You were saying," Namjoon turned his attention back to Jungkook.
The younger boy lifted his shoulders in a gesture of helplessness. "I don't know...I just asked her if I could go to her house...she said her Mom wouldn't let her. And she got upset when I asked about her dad..."
"I heard my Mom say that her Mom is a slut," Jimin piped up. He had been listening in closely and his eyes sparkled gleefully. "She was talking to a friend who lives close to that neighbourhood."
