Next morning,
Naira opened her eyes at 6.45 am and saw Kartik getting ready for his office.
"You are leaving? So early?" asked Naira.
"Yeah.. I usually leave for office at 7.00 am." said Kartik wearing his tie.
"Okay you just wait. I will make something for breakfast. It won't take time" said Naira and went to the door hurriedly.
"No need. I had my breakfast after coming home from gym." said Kartik taking his bag.
"Oh okay. When will you return home?" asked Naira.
"Can't say.. depends on my work." said Kartik and left for office. Naira somewhere felt bad but composed herself and went to washroom to complete her daily chores.
After sometime,
Naira was in kitchen, helping Swarna in making lunch when her phone ringed.
"You go. I will manage" said Swarna and Naira went to take the call.
"Hello Papa.." said Naira as soon as she answered the call.
"How are you beta?" asked Naitik.
"I am fine.. What about you guys?" asked Naira.
"We all are fine.. So? How is Australia? The weather is suiting you na? And how are your in-laws?" asked Naitik.
"Yes papa. The weather is suiting me. And my in-laws are very nice. Swarna maa, Manish papa and Dadi are very understanding." said Naira smiling.
"And Kartik?" asked Naitik.
"He.. he is fine too" said Naira wiping her tears.
"Are you happy with him?" said Naitik.
"Yes papa. I am happy with him. He is very nice with me" said Naira where Naitik sighed in relief.
"Okay beta.. can you pass the phone to him?" asked Naitik.
"Umm.. He is in office papa. I will ask him to call you after he comes." said Naira.
"Office? Beta you guys married just 4 days ago.. He started to go to his office so early?" asked Naitik bewildered.
"No papa actually he is working on some important project that's why.." said Naira.
"Oh okay beta.. Do take care of yourself." said Naitik and hung up the call. Naira ran back to her room immediately. Swarna saw this and thought to give her some time.
At night,
Naira was serving dinner to everyone. But she looked dull and pale. Manish asked her to sit with them but she refused saying "I am not hungry papa.. You guys have it"
"Okay beta but do take some light food before sleeping okay?" said Dadi and naira nodded into yes and headed to their room.
At midnight,
Kartik tiptoed to their room as everyone was asleep. He opened the door of room and saw her sleeping on the couch with a book in her hands. He went to washroom to change.
The knob of the washroom door twisted and Kartik came out from the washroom after getting fresh. Naira's sleep broke and saw Kartik in the room.
"You came? Sorry I slept that's why didn't realise. Wait a minute I will serve dinner for you." said Naira.
"No need" said Kartik while Naira looked at him.
"I mean.. I already had my dinner in office" he said.
"Okay." said Naira.
Kartik threw his coat on couch which Naira collected immediately. She folded the coat neatly and was about to keep it in cupboard but he stopped her.
