Chapter 72: Almost Done

Kanina ko pa inaahon-lubog ang noodles gamit ang chopstick ko. I don't know why I feel this. Nakakatamad na ewan.

It's been a week pero wala pa ring process na nababanggit sa akin sina Tita.

I want it to be done.

"Wo keyi dian can ma?? (Can I order some food)" sabi nung isang customer

Agad naman yung nilapitan ni Hui na kanina ay busy sa counter.

"Shenme Shenme (what, what)"

Yup, I think their restaurant is having a comeback. Ni-renovate nila ito at mas pinagmukhang bago.

Well, the renovation is not finish yet but you can already saw its result.

Siguro dahil na rin sa nakikita ng ibang tao na may napunta na rin dito.

Hmm siguro ngayon may 3 grupo ng customer ang nakapunta rito.

After i-serve ni Hui yung pagkain sa kaninang umorder ng pagkain ay umupo sya sa may upuan sa tapat ko.

"How's my noodles?" he asked

"I think it's good."

"Uhh, you keep playing with that noodles. Why don't you eat it already?" sabi naman nya.

"Hmm its just that Im getting bored here in China. I want to go home already with Per—"

"Ya! So you don't actually live here?" he said cutting my sentence.

"Obviously. What do you think is the reason why I'm staying in just a Hotel?" sabi ko naman

"No. I mean. You don't actually live here in China?" tanong nya.

"This is where I grew up but I don't actually stay here."

"I thought you just live in other city." sabi nya.

Kita ko naman ang pagkadisappoint sa mukha niya. Obviously because he is pouting! Parang batang hindi nabilhan ng laruan.

"I live in the Philippines." I said.

"Philippines??" tanong nya

"Yeah. Have you been there?" I asked because his face lightens up when I said the name.

"Shi! Shi! (yes yes)" he said excitedly
"I've been there because that's were we took a yearly vacation when I was a kid!! We even have a house there."

"Really? So you're actually rich. Why do you even have to work?" sabi ko naman at sumubo ng noodles.

"Neh. That was back then, before my Dad left us."

"S-sorry..." I apologized.

"It-ch ok! It's a long time ago and I don't care about him anymore!" parang pabirong ewan na sabi nya.

"Do you know any Filipino word?" tanong ko.

"Uhmm..S-salamat? I think that's how Filipinos thank for something" he unsurely said.

"Yup, you're right."

"I actually wanna know more about Philippines. Hey, can you take me with you?" he said.

"W-what?" nanlalaking mata kong tanong.

"Hahahha just kidding."

I rolled my eyes as he laugh again.

"So when will you go home?" pagbabalik nya sa tanong.

"I don't know." I said shrugging my shoulders.

"Don't leave without telling me!" sabi naman nya

"Ok." I said.

"Huiii!! Orrdeerr?" tawag sa kanya nung Kuya nya ata.

"Coming right up!!!" sabi nya sabay tayo na din.

Unti-unti ko namang inubos ang noodles na natitira sa bowl ko habang nagseserve si Hui.

"Hey, Hui." tawag ko sa kanya.

Agad naman syang lumapit kaya tumayo na ako.

"Thanks for the meal." sabi ko sa kanya

"Gonna leave already?" he said carrying a tray.

"Hmm yes..."

"Oh, ok. You're always welcome." he said.

Ngumiti na sya pagkatapos ay pinagbuksan ako ng pinto.

Dumiretso naman ako sa may Bus Stop. Im going back to Mom's lab and check again the process of Tita Helia and Esmeralda.

Inip na ako, you know?

Pagbalik ko ay rinig na agad ang usapan at tawanan nilang dalawa.

I take a peep inside the lab and saw them laughing at each other.

It's glad to bring their friendship back. I just hope that Esmeralda forgives my mother too. Pare-parehas lang silang may nagawang hindi ganon kabuti sa isa't isa.

Well, naging masama lang naman 'to because of the misunderstandings. But atleast the two of them is back now.

Tumigil sila sa pagtawa saka ako pumasok nang tuluyan para malaman kung anong meron.

"Ok back to business, Esmeralda. We just have to place Perseus inside the machine." naabutan kong sabi ni Tita Helia

Kaya naman nagmamadali akong pumunta malapit sa kanila.

"It's done?" tanong ko

They both look at me in surprise.

"Why?" tanong ko naman sa kanila.

"I thought you're with— uh never mind." Tita Helia said.

"So tapos na nga?" I impatiently asked.

Tss, oo na. May pagkabastos yung tanong ko pero kasi naman inip na talaga ako.

"Yup, but we have this one problem" Tita Esme said.

Pambihira problema na naman? Why is there so many problems? Damn it.

"What is it?" tanong ko sa kanila.

"We really need to be careful sa paglilipat kay Perseus. Ang hirap lang kung paano ba magagawa yon. We can't just remove him in the life sustaining machine." Tita Helia explained.

"So paano na?" I asked.

"We're thinking on it." sagot naman ni Tita Esme.

"Hindi ba pwedeng pagsamahin nyo na lang dun sa life sustaining machine and the whatever do you call that machine, together?" suggest ko sa kanila.

"But it will take another work which means another time." sagot ni Tita Helia.

"Well, obviously hindi naman kasi kusang magsasama yung dalawa na yan e." I said.

"Okkk, pilosopong bata. We'll do it." sabi ni Tita Helia.

"Wait. Pero gaano ba katagal yan?" I asked.

"It'll be easy. Maybe tomorrow." sagot nya.

"Eh? Suree??"

"Sure. Madali lang naman. Since parehas lang ang design ng mga structures nila." she said looking at a blueprint na kakaabot lang ni Tita Esme.

To the heck of it! Sobrang saya ko na. Tomorrow is my long awaited day!
