All of Marinette's classmates — except for Lila and Adrien, are already outside the house. Most of them can't bare of the heartbreaking sight that they're forced to see, if they come back into the house.

Adrien is not invited because the others wanted to give him some time and space alone. He must need it.

While for Lila, she wasn't there because she's actually not that close with the classmates, and she was nowhere to be found, anyway.

And there stands in front of the classmates, famous news reporter — Nadja Chammack.

"Don't be bemused, it's just the news. We're reporting from the residence of one of Paris' best fashion designer and well-known brand owner — Gabriel Agreste."

"Shocking news once again has come from this great artist. Gabriel Agreste has reported been suffering a deadly illness and fell into a coma this afternoon, at 01.34 PM. Details of this specific illness is still unknown and this nerve-wrecking news, has definitely brought an exceedingly big amount of hordes and public figures — such as the also well-known for her fashion, worldwide famous fashion designer Audrey Bourgeois, the mayor of Paris Andre Bourgeois, Rock singer Jagged Stone, world championship fencer Tomoe Tsurugi, and many others."

"No one has ever predicted or even thought of this disaster to happen all of a certain sudden. All the least we can do, is to pray and wish for the best for Gabriel Agreste, and mainly for his son —Adrien Agreste, who's left alone without his mother, Emilie Agreste. We hope the best for this family. Get well soon, Gabriel Agreste."

Nathalie Sancoeur — personal assistant also house caretaker of Gabriel Agreste, approached Adrien who was still kneeling by his dad. She pat his shoulder softly a few times, signaling that everything is going to be okay.

"Adrien, I suggest we let him rest. It's been a long day for him," Nathalie said with a straight face — not because she didn't care, but because she isn't used to express her empathy very much.

Adrien nodded and slowly stood up with the help of Nathalie, and went carefully to his bedroom. The crowd is no longer present and the house is now filled with letters of empathy and gifts from visitors.

Adrien never thought this would happen. He has never been the closest to his father, but he knows well that his father is hard on him because he loves him. His methods might be outrageously extreme sometimes, but that's just his way of showing Adrien that he loves him.

"I'm really sorry to hear this, Adrien. But cheer up! Here, I brought you a whole camembert! I skipped dinner today, so that I can give you this cheese. Hope you'll feel better," Plagg said while handing Adrien the biggest piece of pungent camembert.

"Thanks, Plagg, but no thanks."

Plagg sighed — feeling concerned of his friend, "what on earth could possibly cheer you up?"

"Some time alone... a bath, perhaps," Adrien replied as he headed to his bathroom.

Just when he was about to prepare his towel and toiletries, he noticed an old dusty CD sitting in tranquility on a table.

"Why is this here?" He asked himself.

Shortly after blowing the dust away, he immediately realized what CD it was.

"Solitude," he whispered, "mom's movie..."

Suddenly, he felt anger and misery at the same time. Tears started flooding down his eyes. "This is unfair!" He shrieked.

Just as he was going to slam the CD onto the ground and step on it, the thing least expected and heavily unwanted happened...

A dark violet butterfly flew in.

"So very despondent. Poor boy first lost his mother, and now arranged by destiny, might lose his father too. I can feel pain and desperation crawling through his blood. You're now under my... control. Do as I say and you will soon be able to avenge your suffering."

Adrien's gaze turned dark.

"Yes, Hawkmoth."

Few minutes before Adrien's akumatization.

Adrien nodded and slowly stood up with the help of Nathalie, and went carefully to his bedroom. The crowd is no longer present and the house is now filled with letters of empathy and gifts from visitors.

Nathalie watched Adrien walk up the stairs heading to his bedroom, and stood still for several seconds, until she crouched and attempted to maintain her balance, "what was I thinking agreeing to this... this is horrendous." She held a tight grip to the side of her head — as if suppressing an excruciating pain.

After she felt slightly better, she went back to her original cold character, and headed to Gabriel's personal room. She faced the great painting of Emilie Agreste hanging on the wall then sighed, "sorry it all has come to this..."

After gently pressing a few hidden buttons, the floors opened and she is transported to a secret room with very dim lighting.

"Did everything run according to plan?" Asked a voice who seems to be a female teenager.

Nathalie didn't say anything in reply.

"You heard her, Nathalie? Did everything go successfully according to plan?" The question was repeated — except the voice asking now seems to belong to a middle-aged man.

"Y- yes," Nathalie stuttered, "isn't this going too far over the line, Gabriel? Agreeing to Lila's despicable plan of faking your coma? Look how much misery you've put everyone in, especially Adrien, your own son!"

"Well, that's the point now Nathalie, isn't it? In order to akumatize Adrien, an extreme wave of emotion is required. What better plan could execute the outcome we have now?" Lila said with a vile smirk on her face.

Gabriel or also known as Hawk Moth sighed in frustration, but also distraught, "I'm afraid this is the only way, Nathalie. We don't have much time in order to bring Emilie back. I've tried everything and nothing seemed to work. I would do anything to bring her back — even if it involves sacrificing my own son."

"Carry on with the plan."
