Caitlin's POV
I keep a relatively safe distance from the apparatus while waiting on the overflowing of blue goo. "Patience my babies, patience", I whispered to my friends standing in the background. This is it, i'm going to countdown in my head before pouring the liquid into the apparatus. And in 1, 2, -
POW!
The cylinder fell right out of my hand and onto the floor. What the hell?! We scanned the room for the culprit of the loud disturbing noise. Aha! A ball. Someone threw a baseball into the window of the classroom. I rolled my eyes and took some deep breaths before I shove that baseball right up the owner's ass.
Ms. Milia looked outside of the broken window and spotted a bunch of seniors running away. One male was ahead of the group but she already suspected who the runner was. Barry Allen. When will that boy use his talents for the good of society? Thankfully we were all far away from the window so no one got hurt.
"Did you get a glimpse of the torns that is unfortunately part of our society?" I asked Ms. Milia.
She chuckled a little. "One of them is Barry Allen but i'm sorry Caitlin, your presentation will have to be pushed to the end of the semester since the schedule for the class is fixed. I will fix you in at the end and if push comes to shove, we will have a make-up class" Everyone groaned. I was mortified. I came an hour earlier to class to reserve my presentation for the beginning of the semester so I wouldn't have to worry about assignments when final exams are approaching.
"Class is over. I'm going to report this incident to the principal and I need everyone to exit the classroom right now."
I nodded my head to Ms. Milia, sighed, grabbed my belongings then proceeded out the classroom.
"Don't worry, Cait. I'm sure the presentation will rock later down. Everything happens for a reason" my friend Daniel comforted me.
"That's what people say when they're out of excuses to comfort someone" I said blatantly. He laughed at my pessimistic attitude causing me to smile. "But thank you for trying to help". I looked at him and smiled.
That all changed before I saw Barry Allen laughing with his friends or what I like to call, Hyenas. They're all wild, unattractive and a disgrace to our generation. Not unattractive in terms of physical appearance, they're okay there but their personalities make them ugly.
I hurried to the large group. "Hey. Can I talk to you for a second?" I looked directly into Barry's stupid puppy dog eyes.
He looked at me and scanned my body "Oh yeah. Definitely. I'm into freaks as well".
This is when I performed a mini-prayer in my head to all the God/Gods up in the sky to give me the strength not to slap him.
'What's up?", he placed a hand on the wall. I'm guessing this is suppose to make him look cooler.
"What's up? You ruined my presentation with your stupid baseball! You and your little friends-"
I stopped as he ignored me and walked away. It's like he wants to start a war with me. I hate seniors
Game on.
