Kentrell:
My heart dropped to my stomach as I tried to process the words that were just told to me.
"Fuck you mean Taymor ain't come back home from school" I yelled, panicking on the inside.
"Kentrell, he was supported to be home 3 hours ago. I called all of his bros and they ain't with him" His sister restated on the other line.
Taymor had been acting weird all day at school today. I was tryna talk to him like a normal boyfriend would and all he would do is mean mug me and tell me:
"Everything will be okay tomorrow"
Why the FUCK didn't I see that as a sign? Where the hell is he? Why is he not home? Why didn't he TALK to me?
"Alright I'mma go look for him aigh'?" I asked, already impatient and scared.
Before she could answer I hung up and ran out to my car, my clothes were still on since I was gonna go visit him, but he ain't home.
I hopped in my car and drove around town until it was storming hard. I decided to check across town where he worked and on my way over there, I got stuck in traffic.
I started getting heated and yelling at every car around me until I saw a boy in a black hoodie walk on the boardwalk of the bridge.
He stopped in front of the ledge and pulled hoodie from over his head. At that point, I knew exactly who it was. Not even the fogginess of the rain and wind could hide it.
It was Taymor.
I watched his movements as he shifted awkwardly and stepped his feet over the railing. He was standing on a plank over the water and put his hands in a praying position.
I ran out of my car, running past all the cars, and ran to where Taymor was. I yelled his name as I was running and he noticed as he turned to me and jumped a bit.
I ran up to where he was and my eyes widened. "Say Tay what the fuck wrong with ya nah'?" I asked frantically.
"I- please go away Kentrell, I love you too much" He cried.
I tried to reach for his hand as he jerked his arm away, grabbing the ledge as he flew back.
"Stop playing round and get off that ledge" I choked, trying to remain serious.
"GO AWAY KENTRELL! THIS AIN'T A DAMN GAME" Taymor yelled, trying to push me away.
I felt tears falling as I started climbing over to him. I turned to see a wide-eyed Taymor with his jaw loose.
"If we gone die, we gone die TOGETHER" I said, planting a kiss to his glossy lips.
"Kentrell no...... "
"Nah, you wanted to kill ya self right? Well let me join you" I barked as visible tears fell down my face.
Taymor wiped my tears and his own and wrapped his arms around me.
"Kentrell, I love you so much, but I can't let you go through with this" He cried into my chest.
I pat his back as I heard cop cars pull up. I looked up at them for a second and continued to hold on to Taymor.
"We will give you to the count of three to remove yourself from the ledge or we will personally do it" One of the cops said through a megaphone.
"One" He exclaimed.
Taymor turned to me. "Looks like we better get off the ledge" He said letting go of me.
"Two" The cop continued.
I rolled my eyes. "Baby let's go" I gritted.
"Three" The cop finished.
"I love you baby" Taymor said before jumping back into the ocean.
"TAYMOR" I screamed as the police pulled me back from the ledge.
I cried into the crook of my arm as I processed what had just happened.
3 years wasted. The boyfriend who told me he loved me undyingly just killed himself.
I couldn't breathe. I couldn't live without him.
I started hyperventilating as I got a call from Taymors sister.
"H-hello" I stuttered.
"Are you okay?!" She yelled. "I saw you on the news".
"T-Taymor" I choked, before uncontrollably crying.
I heard shuffling before Taymor's voice filled my ear.
"Baby I'm sorry. I love you. I came back home" Taymor muffled.
I dropped my phone and it smashed against the floor.
What did I just see?
Who did I see?
Was it just me on the ledge?
And most importantly, how am I gonna get a new phone?
