Hedenbaugh wasn't always abandoned, it was a flourishing civilization, constantly bustling with life. Even in the latest hours of the night, and the earliest of the morning, the city was filled with movement and chatter.
The many different personalities merging to create the perfect utopian society.
Despite the seen perfection, the society was far from perfect, the community, living behind a facadé, had various flaws of fluctuating levels of importance.
You see, I was once also, living behind the utopian facadé that the wealthy citizens built up. You may know me as Oliver Dean Ledger, or the boy who spoke out, defying laws, belittled by wealth.
You may also know my partner in crime, Milo J Halton, the boy who left, the boy who ran from his problems. The weak boy.
You may see him as weak but he is far from it.
My current dilemma is the fact that our "perfect" society is now a barren wasteland. The wave hit hard. The wave, an incurable virus, fatal and spread through direct contact. It started on Archellen, and the first to get it was a woman in her late twenties, working for inter-spatial travels and coming in contact people with of various ages and orientations.
The issue is, the virus is more prominent in those over the age of fifteen, and it is seen as impossible to survive if anywhere over seventeen if exposed. If you survive after exposure and are over the age of seventeen, and below the age of twenty-three, you get sent to the camps.
The camps are rehabilitation centers as the founders say, but we all know that they experiment on teens and use them as war machines against the Zalkiane, a violent, volatile species. They declared war against the citizens of Archellen years before I was born into the war zone.
Most of the battles took place on planets such as Undelaine and Shramera so I was protected from the violence and trauma until my nineteenth birthday, when my neighbor caught the virus while traveling and, like the dumbasses they are, spread it to the whole planet.Everyone I know, besides Milo, is dead. At least I still have the one thing most important to me. Despite it not counting as a thing. I mean it kinda is like, the one thing keeping me alive currently, so it needs a little more credit. Does Milo count as a thing?

Hey guys! So this is my first original, like, ever, so please cut me some slack. It is probably really shitty, but, now that I have a laptop, updates will be more frequent, and editing will be more in-depth when the time comes. I hope that this isn't complete and total shit, and I hope you enjoy reading!
*Updates should be weekly, and images are not mine unless said otherwise*
