Born This Way

We all stood in a group, near a dock where Zeus placed us after our parents told us a little about ourselves. "Let's go take one of those boats." Troy said pointing towards a large blue ship. Although I was totally against stealing things I couldn't stop walking towards the ship he said to steal. "Um, why am I stealing things against my will?" Raven said looking pissed at her actions. "Back at olympus Aphrodite said any child of hers cause change the desire of someone else, basically, I tell you what you want." Troy said winking at us. "Yeah, you're gonna need to cut this shit out or I'll cut your heart out." Drax said looking dead serious about his threat.

I wonder if I could do anything cool besides play instruments. My dad is the God of the sun and of healing too, so I shouldn't I be able to do that too?

When we got to the boat Elena guided us through what each part of the ship did, her being daughter of poseidon and all this must come naturally. When we were all settled in Elena set the boat to sail.

"So you guys get cool parents who tell you how to use your abilities and I get a mom who wants to play peek'a boo? In what way is that fair." Violet said sitting on a chest on the upper deck. "Well, you did get a hint towards who your mother was," Lauren stated "it said 'Everyone loves a Greek Trivia.'" She said looking slightly upset that she didn't know the answer. "Ohh, the power to answer questions, you're cool." Raven said to Violet sarcastically.

"What are you sitting on?" I asked curios of the chest under Violet. She got up and opened the box revealing various objects.

Each object had a different symbol on it, matching the tattoos on our arms. Raven and I got staffs about a 2 feet long, Drax got a pair of dark gloves, Troy got a small mirror, Elena got a small blue fork with only 3 points, Violet got a small bottle of water that read "Emergencies Only" on the side, and Lauren got a small gold bracelet.

In the bottom of the chest was a paper saying:

"These weapons aren't to be played with and may only be wielded by those who know what they represent."

"And I'm supposed to beat someone with a mirror? I know I'm good looking but damn." Troy said fixing his hair in the mirror.

As the sun met the ocean we all slowly began getting drowsy, that is except Raven and Elena. "There's an island about 50 miles down, we should be there in 3 hours." Elena said proudly steering the boat. I looked and saw Raven, as her eyes slowly began to turn bright white as the moon rose. Soon I began to feel drowsy as well and fell asleep next to Drax.

The noise. The noise I that awoke me, it was beautiful. Nothing I've ever heard or ever could've played could sound as beautiful. And the best part was that I think they were singing about me. I quickly ran to Elena and Raven who still stood wide awake. "It's beautiful isn't it?" Elena said steering the boat towards where the music was coming from. Troy then came to the upper deck with his headphones on, looking annoyed. "Anyone with a voice like that must be good in the- " Drax said before being cut off by the death stare Raven began giving him. Within minutes everyone was on upper deck ready to see who was singing this music.

As we got closer to the island Troy started going on and on about something, but the music was to beautiful to listen to him. Then it stopped, it all stopped, and within seconds, the boat began sinking. "Yeah Uh, Elena? Your little splish-splash abilities would be great right about now!" I said trying to sound calm about sinking. "I can't control the water!" Elena said panicking about crashing the boat into the island. "Just relax," said Lauren "water is calm and can only be controlled by a calmed state of emotion." She said looking just as scared. Lauren closed her eyes and began breathing slowly. "Because now is the perfect time for yoga, am I right?" Raven said sarcastically. Right when we were about to sink below the water it started to rise, and soon we were on level with the shore.

"Were we supposed to die because I heard ladies singing and now I hear heavy breathing and this just all doesn't seem quite thought out." Lauren said thinking crucially. "Where in the world are we?" Violet said looking around the area. "Only one way to find out!" Drax said walking towards the Forrest.

As we got deeper in the forrest I heard a voice in my head whisper, "use the light." It sounds like Mr.A or Apollo or Dad but I have no idea what he means by that.

"We should set camp here." Lauren said searching for a spot to lie down. "Don't we need like a fire and shit?" Troy said impatiently. When he said that I understood what Apollo was trying to tell me. I then focused on what the Sun looked like, what heat felt like, and held my hand over an area in the place we were setting camp. It then burst into flames, leaving my hand on fire as well. My staff also extended into a bow in my other hand, leaving me as confused as ever.

As everyone gathered around the fire I began playing with my flaming hand and newly deadly stick. I pulled back on the bow and an arrow of flames flew into a tree knocking down a pile of bananas. Drax began running towards them. "Don't eat those until we figure out where we are." Lauren said. "But I'm hungry!" Raven said pouting and taking a banana from Drax.

After the argument of bananas we decided to take shifts on who sleeps and who guards through the night.
