<P class=MsoNoSpacing><EM>Hi everyone. So this is the second last chapter and I would really appreciate it if you would take the time to tell me what you think of it. It's a chapter that has been playing in my head almost from the very beginning so it really would mean a lot to me.</EM></P>

<P class=MsoNoSpacing>I needed to call for help but I doubted the police would be much use. I couldn't call anyone because I was terrified of being heard. I sent Royce a message and called his number just to bring his attention to the phone. It went straight to voice mail and I hung up feeling desolate. I looked through my contacts list, hoping there was someone else I could contact. I wanted to call Shane but I knew expecting him to be able to come and save my ass was an irrational expectation. I went through the list again and I hesitated over a name. I knew I had no one else to call and there was nothing to lose so I sent Alex a message. Then I called him to make sure his phone was on. It rang and I listened for a few dialling tones before I hung up. </P>
<P class=MsoNoSpacing>I hid in the shadows, hoping everything would stay the way it was until Alex showed up. Luck was not on my side and my phone began to ring. A blaring melody broke the tension-filled silence as Alex's name flashed across the screen. </P>

<P class=MsoNoSpacing>I hung up as quickly as I could but I already knew it was too late. I clocked my gun and ran for the door I had come through. I had almost made it when Kale tackled me from behind. The gun slipped from my grip and a shot went off. My heart raced and I tried to squirm out of his grasp. I started screaming but he flipped me over and covered my mouth with one hand while holding both my hands in his other and straddled me, making sure I couldn't move at all.</P>

<P class=MsoNoSpacing>Kale leaned forward; I could feel his lips brushing my neck, caressing my cheek before he whispered, "What a pleasant surprise." I could hear the malicious smirk in his voice and a chill ran down my spine. </P>
<P class=MsoNoSpacing>The fear that had at first paralysed me mobilised me and I head butted him as hard as I could from the uncomfortable angle I was in. I hit him on the side of his jaw, not hard enough to be effective but enough to distract him slightly. It gave me a little wiggle room, which I used to try knee him in the groin. I missed and instead hit him on the inside of his thigh. The worst he would have was a bruise. My attempt to break free was failing but I was determined so I didn't stop wiggling no matter how tightly he gripped. I knew I would be bruised all over but better bruised than dead. He removed his hand from my mouth so he could get a better grip on my flailing arms and I started screaming again. I could see he was torn between shutting me up and holding me still. I knew I had to keep him from getting the chance to grab a weapon - it would be all over if he grabbed any of the weapons on me so I continued to scream and thrash about erratically. </P>
<P class=MsoNoSpacing>He kissed me to shut me up. It wasn't sweet or steamy or passionate. It was violent and scared me and made me feel sick. I bit down has hard as I could. I felt my teeth tear into his flesh and I could taste his blood in my mouth. A wave of nausea churned my stomach . He howled in anger and pain and let go of my wrists but before I could do anything, he backhanded me so hard that my vision swam. My head exploded in pain and for a few seconds I blacked out.</P>
