"Here we go again." I said to myself as I waited for the big, yellow, school bus to go at it's usual stop, Forest Avenue.
"Here comes another year of personal hell." I mutter
Allow me to introduce myself. I am Vixey. But my friends call me Vix. It's a name I enjoy, I guess you can say. It's better than those other names, anything but those.
So I got on the bus, and me and Momo sat down where we usually sat, all the way in the back. Away from everyone. Oh, yeah. Momo. I loved her so dearly. Her real name was Morgan. But me and my family just called her Momo. She just started 6th grade this year. And I was in 8th grade. I was scared for her. She was just starting middle school, and middle school is a complicated thing and I hope she doesn't have the bad that I am had. She was like a sister to me, she was just, Momo. I couldn't see her hurt. Now she isn't the 2nd grader I saw when she first moved here. And I am not that 4th grader anymore. We were getting older.
"So Momo!" I tried to sound happy, I wanted to. She deserves to have the best year, the best life ever. She was a sweet as honey and had honey brown, curly hair, she was pale and speckled with freckles. She looked like her father, as my mom would say.
"Are you excited for school?"
Momo looked up at me, with her big, sweet, hazel eyes, and she pushed her glasses up, to stop them from falling off.
"I am really nervous Vix. What happens if I can't open my locker? What happens if I have mean teachers? What if-"
I interrupted her.
"Stop with the What ifs Momo. You will be fine, like I always say..."
"Like John Cena says," She went on.
"NEVER GIVE UP!" We both hollered at the same time, we laughed. But the other people on the bus just gave us weird looks. We laughed harder, I didn't care. I was happy for that little while. Until the bus came to a stop, at the front of the school. The usually crowd was out in front. Here we were. I heard the usual squeak of the bus doors opening and everyone got up and got out. Me and Momo waited until everyone got off, and we were the last ones to leave.
"Good luck, Momo." I forced a smile.
She got more pale than she was, and she swallowed hard.
We slowly went our way off the bus and I turned around and hugged her tight and as I did that, I whisper into her ear,
"Remember, never give up. I will see you after school on the bus, ok?"
She nodded and we both went our seperate ways, into the crowds that were by our age group. I soon found my group of friends, Scarlet and Raven.
"Never give up," I said to myself.
"Never give up"
