I really need to tell Tony before I don't get a chance to.. I hear footsteps from afar off and I grab Ton'y hand and run. I start to feel a bit dizzy and i slow down, blinking slowly to regain awareness and Tony sees me struggling.
"Are you ok, Ziva?" There is concern in his voice.
"No i'm not okay but we can talk about that later." I continue running/jogging. We have no idea where we are, so we don't even know if we are headed in the right direction. I stop at this place that makes a really good battle ground. "We can set up a hideout here... Use the little ammunition we have when he comes."
"Good idea, Ziva." We set up a little fort thingy that will protect us. We get behind it and prepare for battle. We wait, and wait, and wait. But it seems that he is more lost than we thought. I decide to take this time to tell Tony...
"Tony, I guess this is a good time as any to tell you whats wrong..." I say.
Tony looks at me with concern and says, "What is it, Ziva?"
"I am-" I am cut off again by a gunshot and we duck down and get our guns ready. We peek up and fire. For the next few moments, I am not sure exactly what's happening. Bullets are going in every direction. Then, I hear Tony stop firing his gun but I don't look over. I hit the guy in his right shoulder and he runs off to take cover. He comes out shooting a bunch of times and I shoot once and I get lucky and hit him again. He stops firing and disappears. I look over at Tony and see him laying on the ground with a wound in his neck from one of the bullets.. it's not terrible but he is loosing blood.
"Tony!" I gasp. I go to him quickly and pull out some gauze that i just happen to have with me and I press it onto his wound and put pressure on it. He is loosing blood quickly and is starting to close his eyes. "No no no no no. Don't do this to me, not now. Stay with me Tony. " I can feel hot tears rolling down my cheeks. I sent a message to McGee over text saying that we were being chased a while ago. I don't know if it was delivered or not so I can't reassure Tony that help is coming.
"Tony, focus on me. Look at me." He looks into my eyes. "Tony, you have to live. You can't be a good father to our baby if you're dead."
His eyes light up and he manages to get enough breath to say, "You mean-?"
I smile and say, "Yes, Tony.. We are going to have a baby."
This seems to give him new energy... He sits up and uses some string/rope from his pocket to tie the gauze to his wound. I can tell he's in pain. "Then, unless you'd like to raise Tarzan, we had better get out of here." There is a new sound to his voice. Like new motivaion. A reason to live.
Now i know, without a doubt...... We will make it out of here.
