Hermione's POV-
Bellatrix's knife carved its way through to the D on my arm. With Harry and Ron looked in the cellar of Malfoy Manor I rolled my head back to glance at anyone for assistance- maybe Lucius or Narcissa even Wormtail.
Then out of the corner of my eye, I see Draco Malfoy lounging against a marble pillar by the stairs for the cellar. His platinum hair cascaded down his face, he was cradling his face and wiping away crystal clear tears. Draco Malfoy was crying.
Was it the sight that was before him? Or was it the pressure from the Dark Lord and his family to behave a certain way. Regardless, Malfoy was crying a sight I had never seen before.
"Hermione?"
"Hermione"
"HERMIONE WAKE UP!" bellowed Ginny
Gasping for air whilst awakening from the nightmare Hermione sat up from her fluffy duvet and retorted back "Ginny what? I thought you were in lessons?" Staring right into Hermione's eyes Ginny knew that she had been dreaming about it again. "You've been dreaming about it again haven't you?" she asked with a look of support and sympathy.
"Yes. But I don't know why. It never seems to focus on the torture itself but rather the glances of the people watching. Specifically....nevermind" she halted her speech in order to avoid awkward questioning about her opinions on Draco Malfoy. "Hermione we've been through this, you are dreaming about it because it was traumatic. Wait.... you wanted Death Eaters to help you?" Ginny responded, a sense of anxiety and concern within the tone.
"I wanted anyone to help me Ginny- you weren't there. You only know about it through how me and Harry have described it. Besides they weren't all Death eaters. Yes Lucius was but Narcissa never took the mark and Draco didn't have any choice." she replied. Instantly realising that the support and excuse she had just made for Malfoy was enough for an ocean of questions to begin coming forward.
"HERMIONE JEAN GRANGER! Are you validating the actions of Malfoy. The ferret. The one we need to still avoid." Ginny spoke with concern. After the wizarding war all seventh years were given the options to return for an extra year, this meant that Draco Malfoy was waltzing around again but this time with less arrogance as his actions during the war were beginning held actions him. Hermione however, didn't seem to care. In fact she liked the sight of him.
But to tell Ginny about would be catastrophic and telling Draco would be even worse.
Sorry that it is so rubbish and short! This is my first fanfiction and I am writing this because I have just finished secondary school (I live in the UK) and have lots of time on my hands. Please let me know your opinions and I am happy to take constructive criticism.
Thanks for reading- it will get better!
