Chapter 15 - Another Unexpected Surprise

Colby, Brennen and I did the most when it came to cleaning up after the party. The house was almost back to being spotless. Surprisingly, it didn't even take as long as I thought it would for the house being as big as it was.

I felt kinda gross though. There was a ton of random shit that we cleaned up that I thought were things that you just saw in movies. I went into the kitchen to dispose of my gloves and gave Brennen a hug goodbye. He told Colby and I that he was filming a five star food review video with his brother, so he had to go. That sounded really good, especially because I was hungry.

I was going to go upstairs to go take a shower but Colby stopped me, "Hey, uh- did you maybe want to go and get lunch today? You know, to actually get to know each other."

I took a big gulp and my face blushed a lighter shade of pink, "Yeah, I would love to. I was just going to run upstairs to take a quick shower."

"Sounds good." I saw him look down and smile. It made me smile too, "We can go when you come back downstairs. You know, after you're ready."

I nodded and ran up the stairs, "I'll be back Brock."

-Colby's POV-

Honestly, I really wasn't expecting her to say to yes. I thought she'd be more like "Ha no, loser." But she seemed a little too nice to be the 'bully' type though.

I heard Aaron stomping down the stairs with his dog Buddy in his left arm and Navi on a leash in another, "The dogs can finally go out!" He just walked past me and awkwardly raise his voice. No "hi" or nothing.

I went upstairs to put on a nicer looking outfit. I mean, I could've left this outfit on since I was just going to take her to Tender Greens. I rummaged through my closet and ended up pulling out a red and black checkered shirt. It was probably one of the only things that I owned that wasn't entirely black. Of course, I paired the outfit with ripped black skinny jeans and my all black shoes.

-Violet's POV-

After I finished showering I couldn't set my mind on one thing to wear. I knew it wasn't like a date or anything, I'm just surprised that he asked. Apparently I'm head over heels about the idea of it too.

After about ten minutes of searching, yeah that's right I have a lot of clothing, I stumbled across a white 'Los Angeles 1984' crop top and a normal colored jean skirt. I threw on a pink scrunchie and sunglasses to give the outfit a little more color.

I already felt like I was cutting Colby on time. But maybe he was giving me extra because I was a girl. Or maybe he takes extra time too because his hair was longer. I'm just kidding. I love his hair. I spent about fifteen more minutes doing my makeup before I decided to come back downstairs.

"Hey." I smiled a big cheesy smile. "Hey, you look really nice. I see you're already promo-ing Los Angeles." Colby pointed at my shirt and laughed.

"Thanks. I guess am, but I could go change it." Obviously I was joking around. I wasn't going to change my outfit. Colby was right, I did look pretty cute, especially for spending five hours cleaning up garbage from a huge party.

"Oh, I forgot my purse upstairs. I'll be right back."

"No, no, no. Don't worry about it. Today is my treat to you, since I asked." Colby's smile melted my heart. He was being so nice to me today. "Colby, I feel bad letting you do that though."

"Violet, I got it. I'm a grown man, I can pay for our lunch today."

"If you're a man, then where's your facial hair?" I let a sarcastic remark slip out. I mean, I didn't know what he looked like with facial hair, but his face being smooth was still super attractive.

"Alright, go get your purse. You're paying." He laughed, "I'm joking. Let's go though, it's already like 2 p.m. I'm starving."

Colby grabbed his keys from the rack and jingled them around a bit. Ah, so he was the one who owned the little red Toyota Corolla.

He opened the door on my side for me and then walked back around to his side and placed the key in the ignition. "So, what do you want to listen to?" Colby handed me the auxiliary cord.

I didn't turn down the opportunity. I plugged my phone in and started to play 'Eastside' by Benny Blanco, Halsey and Khalid. "Where are you taking me anyway?"

He looked to me as we pulled out of the drive way and through the gate, "You'll just have to wait and see."

Author's Note:

This chapter kinda makes me soft. This way, Violet and Colby finally get a better chance to meet since they didn't the first few times they spotted each other.
