NOW LET THE STORY BEGIN

"Isn't she adorable Renji." Rukia whispered rocking the infant to sleep. She was indeed adorable. My hands went to the infants face only to be grabbed by the infant's tiny hands.

"How cute is that. Renji will you fetch brothetr and tell Captain Unohana about the child." Rukia spoke.

"Of course" I replied taking my hands away from the infant "Be back in a second" I replied leaving the house. Ounce I left the house I dashed to squad four quarters ran past the lieutenant who jumped aside out of shock. Taicho Unohana was just outside the main building talking to Captain Kuchiki. They stopped when they spotted me. Taicho eyed me for a second wondering why I was there then Captain Unohana looked at me and smiled.

"Has the baby come Renji?" Unohana walked over to me and put a hand on my shoulder. I was well out of breath.

"Yes" I barely managed to get out. I was quite surprised to see Captain Kuchiki here he usually never comes to squad 4 quarters... Unless Reina is pregnant.

"Show we go see the child Renj and check on rukia." Unohana said. Kuchiki stared at me utter surprise flashed upon his face for a mere second.

"Renji you got Rukia pregnant."

"Yes."

"Why didn't I receive word of it?"

"I thought Rukia told you."

Before Kuchiki could say another word Unohana spoke up. "Now, now Byakuya. Renji and Rukia do not need your permission for these things. You are welcome to come see the child but do not start any more arguments." She looked at both of us. Then she started toward the house. When we arrived Rukia and the baby were asleep in the rocking chair.

"I'll come back later. Until then whatever you do don't leave the house."

"Why?"

"Don't ask why. It's no business of yours yet." Unohana said. When she left a chill grew in my heart. What could be so important or dangerous that only the captions know.
