As I raced through the woods, the tree's around me became a blur because of the mixture of tears in my eyes and because of the fact I was running as fast as my short legs would allow me to run. I wasn't running from someone as much as I was running from the problems that person causes. My father. The whole reason my life was the way it was. Completely fucked up.

In attempt to wipe my eyes to rid them of the tears falling from them, I tripped over my own footing and landed on my face with a thud. My eye hit the large rock that was now next to my face. I slowly pushed myself up and onto my back. I laid there with my face in my hands crying for what felt like hours. I let it all out. All the horrid memories that came playing back into my mind like a disease. No matter how much I tried to rid myself of them, they always seemed to pop back into the front of my mind and I ended up having a break down. I could be in a public bathroom and have a bad thought come to mind and will bawl my eyes out right then and there.

If my father hadn't been who he was and was someone I could actually love, I wouldn't be as fucked up as I am. Every time I had tried to leave, I would get scared and come running back. Back to the abuse and back to what I know best. He is all I have ever known and that's why I have always stayed. I could have left years ago when my mom finally left my dad taking my brother with her, but I stayed. But not now. Now, I had to go...

"What are you doing all the way out here?" A male voice asked tearing me from my thoughts.

Quickly, I uncovered my face and sat up. When I saw the tall figure standing in front of me, my eyes trailed up his body until the met his eyes. They were a piercing green that seemed to lure me in immediately. My eyes never left his as he kneeled down to get on my level. His eyes seemed to search me. He studied me like I was an artifact that a scientist had discovered. Like I was the most interesting girl in the world.

"I- umm- I'm going to my brothers..." I mumbled wiping my eyes again and looking away finally. "What are you doing way out here?"

"Walking. Where does your brother live? The nearest town is well over 10 miles that way," he said pointing in front of him. "But from the direction it looks like you were going, the nearest town was five."

"How do you know the distance to the towns?"

"Where does your brother live?" He asked completely ignoring my question.

I ignored his rudeness to answer my question and answered his, "he lives in Paris Island-"

"Near the beach?"

"Yeah."

He didn't say anything right after that. He just stared at me again except this time he seemed to be trying to read me. He looked as if he were looking for something that I was hiding yet I was hiding nothing.

I watched as he stood up and walked away. He didn't say anything else to me nor did he look at me. He simply stood up and began to walk in the direction that I was originally headed.

"Where are you going?" I yelled scrambling up to my feet and chasing after the guy.

He kept walking but looked over at me when I caught up to him, "I'm going home."

"What? You're gonna walk?"

"Well isn't that what you are doing?"

"Yes but-"

"Then there is not problem. by the way, Paris Island is that way." He said pointing slightly to the right.

I stopped dead in my tracks and just stared at him but he didn't stop. Who is this guy? I ignored the thought of him, for the moment, and began walking in the direction he said my brothers town was in. Why I am choosing to trust this guy, I have no clue. Meeting a stranger in the woods doesn't exactly ring a good bell. Most people would have been scared shitless but not me. I am too used to weird shit happening to me.

The longer I walked, the darker my surroundings became. I know that I have been walking for almost two hours since I ran into that curly haired guy. Just the thought of him made my body feel all kinds of emotions not the good one but also not the bad ones. I couldn't help but imagine him and what he would look like under all of those clothes. What his abdomen looks like or better yet- what his whole body looks like. I imagined my body pressed up against his and feeling every single one of rigid muscles flex as he explored every part of my body. I don't know if it was because of my lack of water or because I haven't had sex in months or if it was just his face was so visually attractive, he got my mind thinking of sexual thoughts but it was something and it had me going.

I obviously wasn't paying attention to where I was going because I was too busy with my thoughts because I had tripped over my own footing again and landed on my face. This time I didn't bother to try to get up or roll over. I just laid there. I moved my arms and crossed them in front of my face to make a pillow for myself but that was it. I am too tired to try and get up. Too tired to walk anymore and too tired to think. I just need sleep. If I fall asleep now then I will be able to finish the walk to my brothers in the morning. I could feel my eyes growing heavy and soon I drifted into a deep sleep.

*~*~*~*~*

When I woke up the next morning, I was in somebody's living room but it wasn't any place that I recognized. The walls were a dark shade of purple and the furniture was all black and leather. There was a big flat screen hung up on the wall and a small coffee table in front of the couch that I was on. I sat up and put my feet on the plush black carpet as I continued to look around. Oddly enough, I knew this house but I couldn't quite remember who's house it was?

I could hear music faintly in another room. I got up and walked in the direction that the noise was coming from and I was lead to a bedroom. The door was wide up and inside the room sat a guy with black hair a black leather jacket and black skinny jeans with his back to me. It's not hard for my to recognize this guy. I could tell you who he is even in the blackest of nights.

"Zayn?" I questioned just to make sure.

He turned around and his face lit up like a kid on Christmas morning, "Cassidy!" He exclaimed jumping up and running towards me. He didn't hesitate to pick me up in a hug and spin me around. I gladly wrapped my arms around his neck and returned the hug. When he set me down, he took a step back and waited for me to see if I was going to say anything. When I didn't say anything, he becan yo speak, "I've missed you so much! I didn't think I was gonna see you ever again to be quite frank but now you are here- speaking of which, when did you get here exactly? I found you asleep outside my door this morning?"

"What? You did?" I asked confused and completely disregarding everything else he said.

"Yeah, why?"

"I- How did I get here?"
