"Katrina?" I heard Charlie ask.
When he found me a week ago, I was scared but excited at the same time. I could actually sleep in a bed now.
He has a warm personality that reminds you of a parent.
I turned my head towards him."What's up Charlie?" I asked.
"Your going on your first mission!" He exclaimed excitedly.
He was a guy in his forties with brown eyes and graying brown hair.
"Really? What is it?" I asked hesitantly.
"You have been chosen as security for singers Sebastian James and Avery Alison."
I paused.
"Please tell me your lying. They are the two most stuck up singers!" I stated.
"You don't know that, kiddo. For all you know they could b-"
"When I was on the streets in New York, they did a show near me. Afterwards they basically terrorized the street with their little group. I'm talking smashing bottles and stealing things from different stores! The only reason they didn't get in trouble was because one of the police officers daughter was a huge fan and let them off with a couple autographs!"He was silent for a moment.
And then two.
Then three."Ok yeah that's bad. But you still need to do it because you can go undercover a lot easier than a big, burly man. Their fans are made up of teenage girls for the most part so you'll fit right in."
"Yeah right, why do they need new security anyway?" I asked.
Their bodyguards were almost double the size of me and Charlie together.
"Well for one, the fans are getting too crazy. And for two, the guards said they were too much to handle, so I decided to give them the best agent I have." Charlie said with a wide smile on his face.
And he's trying to butter me up. Great."Ugh fine!" I screamed shaking my head.
"Yes!" He said, giving me a high five. I rolled my eyes.
"Ok so, in two days they have a show again here in New York, which you'll be a guard at, and then you will be with them throughout their entire European tour, which you'll be leaving for right after the New York concert," said Charlie.I nodded slowly, still trying to wrap my head around this.
"Yes sir."
********************************************It had been two days and I was already waiting for the singers to show up.
I was tossing one of my knives around when I heard the door of the dressing room open.
As fast as lightning, I put the knife back in my pocket. In walked two people. Both looked to be in their twenties. Like me, they had dark hair and brown eyes. The girl was tan while the guy was kind of pale.
This was Sebastian James and Aver Alison.
A small girl cane behind them. I could tell she was the tour manager from her uniform and clipboard.
"Sebastian, Avery, this is Katrina Stefano. She's your new personal bodyguard!" She said excitedly.
I smiled and put my hand out only for them to give it a disgusting look.
I pushed back a glare and still kept my smile on as I took my hand back.
Fine I didn't want to shake yours either."How old are you exactly?" Avery asked with that disgusting look still on her face.
"She just turned sixteen Ms.Alison," spoke the tour manager again.
I can talk you know."And you expect her to protect us? She hasn't even graduated high school yet!" Sebastian tried to state his point.
Oh hell yes I have."Actually I already graduated high school when I was fourteen," I said with a strait face.
Everyone's eyes were on me.
"Where are you from?" Avery asked with a glare.
"I was born in Italy and came to America when I was fourteen, so pardon my accent," I said with a sickly smile.
It's true I ran away from my foster home and ended up on a boat to America. I don't know how I just know I did.
"You still can't protect us. Do you know even know how to fight?" Said Sebastian yet again.
I nodded my head stiffly.
"Prove it," I heard Avery say with smirk.
Out of the corner of my eye I saw her slowly reaching for an apple and was about to hurl it in my direction.
Quickly, I took one of my knives out and threw it fast and carefully aimed enough to slice the apple she was holding in half.
I turned to see the one half in her hand, the other on the ground, and my knife in the wall.I made eye contact with Avery and then made eye contact with Sebastian.
They had just barely realized what happened and their faces showed it.
I strolled over to my knife that was in the wall."Are you crazy?! You could've taken off my hand!" Avery whined.
"If I wanted to, I would have.""And what if you missed?" Yelled Sebastian.
As I took my knife from the wall, I said,
"I don't miss.""You're crazy!" Avery screamed.
"No what's crazy is that you've chased away all of your security. Now you guys are on in two minutes correct?" I turned to the manager.
She paled and nodded.I turned back to the singers.
"You have thirty seconds to get ready and to go get your mic checks done." I ordered. They didn't move and it was obvious they weren't going to after a few seconds.
And then they smirked. I knew they weren't going to get moving.
Ugh these people are stubborn.I pulled two knives from my pocket and started to twirl them around my fingers before saying, "Do I really need to threaten you to do your job?"
They looked like they were gonna faint.
Good. Maybe they'll do their job. They quickly started walking to the sound stage, with me following behind them.
All the sudden, a group of girls come racing out. Ughhhhh.
"Guys you need to leave before I have you escorted off the premises," I spoke loud and clearly.
Most of them scurried off, only leaving one person.
She was literally holding on to Sebastian's leg. He clearly looked uncomfortable.
I rolled my eyes before I got her off of him."Someone get her out of the building please!"
Two men came up, following my orders.
After she disappeared behind a corner with the guards, I turned to the pair."You guys all ready?"
They rolled their eyes before nodding. They were about to get onstage when the same girl came at them at full speed.
I turned around just in time to slam her to the ground and restrain her.Four guards cane running and, hopefully, got her out of the building.
Sebastian and Avery both had a shocked look on their faces.
"That girl has been at almost all of the American tours, doing the same thing. No one has been able to restrain her," this time it was Sebastian talking."Well I guess you can't say that anymore," I said with a confused look.
I looked to see the manager giving a signal that they need to be on the main stage.
"Get out there guys!" I exclaimed giving them a push.
They made their way out there to be greeted by roars of the crowd.
This is gonna be a long night.
