Chapter 29

*Harry's POV* 🐸

I slowly walked up to the door afraid to face what was behind it.

"Cmon Harry you can do this," I tell myself as I stand outside the familiar house

I slowly bring up the courage to knock on the door. My hand shaking as I do so

I knock three times before Louis' stepdad comes to answer the door

"Harry?" He says clearly confused

"Hello sir can I please speak to Louis?" I ask my voice shaking a little from the nerves

"Uh yeah, of course, come in," He says stepping aside to let me in

I walk into the house and the smell of food being cooked in the kitchen immediately hits me. I hear little girls' laughter somewhere in the house

"I'll go get Louis" Louis' stepdad says leaving the room to go upstairs

I stand there awkwardly waiting for him to return with Louis. I try to shake the nerves off as I hear them coming downstairs

"Harry," Louis says as soon as he sees me

"Umm Yea can we talk?" I say scratching the back of my neck

"Yeah, yeah sure. Let's go to my room yeah?" He says looking at me in disbelief

"Yeah okay," I say beginning to climb up the stairs

Louis leads me to his room and sits down on the bed with a scared expression on his face

"Did June explain to you or?" He asks after a while of silence

"No actually, she just convinced me to talk to you," I say keeping my distance from him

"Oh okay," he says fiddling with his thumbs

We stay there silent for what feels like forever. After a while, I finally speak up

"So are you gonna explain or? Cause if you really don't have an explanation I don't want to be here anymore." I say bluntly

"Right yeah," Louis says as if suddenly awake for the first time

"So the night before you came and saw, what you saw I wa-" Louis begins

"Fucking Zayn?" I say unable to stop myself

"What?! No! I didn't cheat on you I promise" He says sincerely

"That night I was downstairs getting a glass of water about to go to sleep since you had already said goodnight," Louis says avoiding eye contact

"Then I heard a knock at the door. And I was really confused because it was 12 in the morning, who was knocking at this time?" He says playing with his bed covers

"So I went to open the door and I saw Zayn there. And I was even more confused because as you probably figured out before I didn't really get along with Zayn. Well, it was more than that but I'll tell you later." He says

"I asked what he was doing there and he said he was really drunk and that he didn't have anywhere else to go. So I asked him why he didn't just go home and he said because his dad would be really mad that he was drunk. I tried to tell him to just go home bruh is mad could his dad get right? But then he said that it was okay and that he'd just find a bench to sleep on. And I couldn't let him do that so I told to just come in. We went up to my room and I offered him close but he said he wouldn't fit into them since I was so small. So he just decided to take his shirt off." Louis says cringing at that last bit

"I told him I'd sleep on the floor and that he could take the bed. But he said he didn't mind and I thought hey I don't like this guy he doesn't like me what's the worst that could happen? So I went to go change and when I came back Zayn was on his phone or at least I thought it was his phone but I would later find out it was my phone and he was texting you to pick me up in the morning." Louis says looking down still

My mind runs in circles as I receive the new information. So Zayn wanted me to catch them, but why?

"I didn't know at the time of course so I just told him he didn't seem drunk anymore and he asked me if I was gonna kick him out and of course I wasn't. So we ended up talking and I found out somethings I didn't know about Zayn. Like he came out to me and I found something out about his father." Louis continues

"Anyway we really bonded that night and we maybe even became friends, but I swear to you Harry we never did anything." He says finally looking up at me

There are tears in his eyes and only then do I realize my eyes are tearing up as well. I walk over to his bead and sit down next to him

"If this is all true then explain the condoms," I say not wanting to give myself false hope

"Zayn planted them there knowing you would see them," Louis says fidgeting

"Why would he do that?" I ask truly confused

"Because Harry, Zayn's the one who set Henry after me, he's the one who terrorized me before I met you, he's the one who sent Taylor after you and Eleanor after me, he's the one who wanted to separate us no matter what. Harry HE was my bully," Louis says his voice breaking

My mind runs wild as I process the information. The whole time I had tried to protect Louis I turned a blind eye to the one person who was causing him the most pain.

I suddenly remembered when I had first talked to Louis and Zayn came along and made Louis Have this terrified look on his before he left, I thought back to the time when Louis came out and Zayn had so shamelessly bashed him, the time when Zayn came rushing into office just in time to stop Henry from blaming someone else for bullying Louis. He had literally stiffened in my arms when he heard Zayn's voice yet I still didn't want to believe it. So I didn't. How could've I been so blind?

"Zayn? It was him all along...." I say wondering why I ever thought the boy in front of me could do anything like cheat.

"I'm sorry I didn't tell you sooner. It's just he was your best friend and I, Well I was me and I didn't think you'd believe me and I just thought I'd rather keep quiet and have you then speak up and lose you." He says looking at me with watery eyes

"But please, believe me, Harry, please. I never have, never could, and will never ever cheat on you." He says hope filling his eyes

"I could never do that to you especially when I love you so much that the thought of losing you makes me go insane," Louis says begging me to say something

"I love you too, and of course I believe you Louis! I love you so much, it felt like I couldn't go on these past few days." I say pulling him into an embrace

"I missed you so much," I say pulling him into a kiss

My heart seems like it's going to explode from happiness. I had been so stubborn not letting Louis explain for so long and blocking everyone out.

"Thank god for June," I say laughing through tears

He laughs as he peppers my faces with kisses. Eventually, we end up cuddling on his bed. I never want to let the beautiful boy in my arms go. God how I missed him

As we're drifting off a knock is heard right before the door opens

"Hey, Loui- oh! Umm dinners ready come down when you're ready." Louis' stepdad says leaving the door open as he walks away

We both get up hand in hand and head downstairs me fully prepared to leave though not really wanting to

"Harry, would you like to stay for dinner?" I hear his stepdad ask as we walk downstairs

I look at Louis and see him smiling at me hopefully

"I'd love to," I say smiling back at Louis

          YAY Larry are back together!! Took them long enough anywho I still really wanna know if you guys think June and Niall should get together since if you guys do think so I'll make it happen!
