They all had to repeat it, one by one, and then as a whole again.
"Bangtan is our brotherhood," they spoke.
After a moment of silence, Namjoon raised his hand, index finger up.
"Now," he exclaimed, and paused. "We all have to swear that this is for life."
Hoseok shuddered at the sentence Namjoon let out. Sweat was dripping from his forehead, and he was constantly biting the insides of his cheeks raw.
"This...this is serious shit," Namjoon continued. "We are in Bangtan for life."
Everyone nodded in unison, even though not everyone was sure of themselves at this point. Hoseok couldn't believe this is what his life had come to so far. He worked so hard in school, and for what? To become a criminal?
On the other hand, Taehyung couldn't be more sure of himself. He'd always liked to live life on the edge, making the most out of every day like it could be his last. The reality was about to change, though. Any day would be much more likely to be his last now.
They didn't want to do some crazy ritual, so after swearing, they all got a glass of champagne (that Yoongi had stole the day before) and made cheers.
"To our new life," Seokjin spoke and rose his glass into the air. His face was all smiles, he was happy to finally have a family that would accept him for who he was. He didn't want to be forced to become something he wasn't, and with Bangtan, he knew that wouldn't happen. They all wanted the same thing, a true family. Now they had it.
"To a new beginning," Jimin added, and they all clinked their glasses together.
Jimin had become more quiet recently, but everyone just assumed it was for the same reason Jungkook and Hoseok were acting different. It was scary, devoting your life to crime. Everyone's assumptions were right, though. Jimin was usually lively and clingy, but it was as if he had lost his spark as things got more serious. It was like a little funk the three were going through. Soon enough, they'd get over it and enjoy their lives.
Namjoon, Seokjin, and Yoongi were more relatable to Taehyung's point of view. They were excited. It was thrilling to them, they lived off of adrenaline rushes.
Yoongi came from an unsupportive household, just like Seokjin and Taehyung. His parents always wanted him to be the best, they sent him to special schools in hopes of him becoming something worthy one day. Yoongi didn't want to go down any certain career path like they had wanted, he just wanted to go into music and producing. He took classes to get to know technology better, but nothing really helped him with his dream job. Along the way he discovered programming, and hacking. Manipulating codes and programs had become so easy to him, and he started to do it for fun. It came in good use frequently, and it was all illegal, which made it even better.
Seokjin's parents wanted him to become a doctor, or at least go into the medical field. He never stood up to his parents, and he let them push him into boring classes and extra curricula's that would 'help him in the future.' It can't help me if I don't want to do it, Seokjin frequently thought. When he finally stood up to his parents after they enrolled him in college courses, they felt betrayed and ended up not talking to him for a couple weeks, cutting off his allowance and family privileges. He was left without money, but when he found out about Namjoon shop lifting, he had a sense of hope again. Seokjin was good with money, and stealing led him into a whole new world where he could thrive.
