"Forty-seven!" A tired voice shouted.
CRASH!
An axe impacted into a gash on a giant cedar tree, the sound resonating through the peaceful winds. The swing came from a young flaxen-haired boy.
The sound woke up the black-haired boy peacefully sleeping on the grassy field. He slowly got up from his position and grabbed hold of a stick, carving a line on the ground.
The flaxen-haired boy panted repeatedly, raising the axe once again, "Fifty!"
CRASH!
The axe missed the gouge by an inch. The flaxen-haired boy collapsed, sighing, the axe falling next to him.
"I only heard three good hits out of fifty!" a brown-haired boy walked up the pathway.

"So that brings it up to 41 and 43 in total, if my maths is correct." The brown-haired boy exclaimed, talking to the two other boys, "Looks like the two of you are treating me to the siral water today, Eugeo. Kirito."
"Says the guy who has 86 good hits in total, Kaito!" The flaxen-haired boy known as Eugeo replied, "I'll catch up in no time!"
"Same here!" The black-haired boy known as Kirito put in. "Well, its your turn now, Kaito. Try to get less hits so next time will be different, yeah?"
"Yeah yeah," The brown-haired boy known as Kaito sighed, looking at the giant tree they were trying to cut down. "One year and three months. After swinging that axe this much every day..."
"I can't take much more of this," Kaito sighed, glancing at the tiny gash on the tree.
"There's no point complaining," Eugeo spoke up, "After all, it's our calling to cut down the Gigas Cedar."
"Sure, I know that, but there's no sense of accomplishment in this job," Kaito replied, sighing loudly.
Kirito walked over to the tree and traced a glowing S before tapping it. A screen popped up, showing the durability, ID and class of the tree.
"Let's see. How much was its life before this?" Kirito asked the two.
Eugeo walked over, Kaito right behind, "Something like 235,590."
