"Hold on!" Ava suddenly shouted, interrupting Ladybug's long — and still growing, flashback story of what happened a few weeks ago.

"So Hawk Moth akumatized Adrien?!" Asked Ava in disbelief.

Ladybug lowered her head with surrender, "unfortunately, yes. It's a genius plan — akumatizing Adrien. Hawk Moth knew how perfect and clever Adrien is in everything!" It was rather uncharacteristic of her to praise one man in particular.

"This is crazy. Hawk Moth didn't just akumatize his own son? That's ruthless," Ava whispered softly to herself.

"What is it, Ava? I thought I heard you say something," Rena Rouge suddenly noticed. "Ah, nothing..." Ava replied awkwardly — refusing to reveal her knowledge that Hawk Moth is Gabriel.

"Right... They don't know that Hawk Moth and Gabriel is the same person. I can't give it out — it'll ruin everything. Not only they don't know that Adrien is Hawk Moth's son, but they're also clueless regarding the fact that Adrien is Chat Noir. The reason why I haven't spotted Chat Noir throughout my whole journey here is because he is the akumatized villain!" She whispered in realization.

"Are you finally able to contact Chat Noir, Ladybug?" Rena Rouge asked.

Ladybug who is currently pressing her magic yo-yo in frustration sighed, "not yet, Rena. Where is that cat? We need him..."

"Anyways, back to the story?" Ladybug asked Ava.

"Oh, it's not done yet..?"

"No, silly," Ladybug chortled, "We've only covered half of the flashback."

"Also, I haven't gotten the chance to explain why it's necessary for you to be brought here," she continued.

"You're right. Carry on then," Ava said patiently as Ladybug continued the rest of her story.

flashback continued

"Are you sure you want to this, Marinette?" Asked Alya. "Of course. I need to give this box of freshly made passionfruit macarons to cheer him up," answered Marinette with confidence.

"He must be in need of support at times like this," Marinette continued.

"Don't you think he would rather want to spend some time on his own..? Give him some space, wouldn't you, Marinette?" Alya said in a slight tone of begging.

"It's all fine, Alya," Marinette waved her hand in dismissal, "besides, if he decides he doesn't want any visitors, I'll just simply leave the macarons in his dining room, and leave."

"Okay..." Alya gave up in trying to persuade her.

"I need to be home now, you sure everything will run smoothly?" Alya asked in reassurance for the last time. "Yeah, don't worry, Alya," Marinette flashed a thin smile.

"Okay then, bye," Alya waved goodbye as she made her way back to her house.

Marinette smiled and waved back to Alya, then turned around and captured the sight of the Agreste residence soaring high up to the sky and manufactured gloriously as if it's a palace.

As she was staring at the house in awe, suddenly a loud crash was heard and thick gray smoke started to spread around from a window that's located on the side of the house.

Marinette — who literally knows everything about Adrien, including his house's coordinates, quickly recognized the source of the mysterious mist, "Adrien's personal bathroom?!"

She quickly ran to the tall gates — undertaking to penetrate, but obviously failed, when a strange figure jumped off the mentioned window, then vanished into some trees of a park that's only a few blocks away from the house.

"What was that..?"

Marinette was starting to panic, "Was that an akumatized villain capturing Adrien? Is he safe? What did the akumatized villain do to poor Adrien?! Oh dear, what should I do?!"

"Okay, Dupain-Cheng! It's not the time to freak out and do nothing, time to transform!" Marinette quickly ran to the bushes nearby, and said, "Tikki, spots on!"

After the successful transformation, Ladybug ran towards the park to see if the figure was somewhere around there.

Suddenly, an unexpectedly familiar voice was heard. It felt so seemingly close, yet so deserted. Like a voice of an old friend — but full of cruelty and inhuman.

"Greetings, fellow insect — although, Ladybugs are not quite the type of insect I would work with. They're... incompetent," the creature bowed with a cheeky grin plastered and his gaze pierced through Ladybug's eyes.

"The name's Chrysalide."
